Dunn will likely find a role with an American league team looking for a power option off the bench or be used in a platoon situation where he bats strictly against right handed pitchers.

The were both originally out of the lineup, but with left handed Holland scratched due to a migraine, they were added back into the lineup to face righty Scott Baker.

After getting one hit in five at bats from the second spot in the order on Friday night, Dunn gets the day off on Saturday. His last day off was September 9, so he is due for a breather.

After no hits in his last seven at-bats, the A\'s are hoping to jump-start Dunn a little bit here. He\'ll bat in front of Josh Donaldson for Friday\'s game in Texas and will hopefully be able to produce more than just a strikeout as the A\'s cling to their current spot in the wild card.
