UFC Fight Night DFS Picks & Lineups: Vettori vs. Dolidze 2 Cheat Sheet, 3/15
Main Event UFC DFS Picks
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
Marvin Vettori vs. Roman Dolidze | 8200/8000 | - | Stackability: Low | -155/ 135 | 500./275. |
This is a rematch from two years ago, and this should go a similar way. Vettori is coming off of a two-year layoff from injury so it's tough to be confident that he can out volume Dolidze in a decision again. Dolidze has more power so if someone is going to win by a finish it is probably him, but he has shown cardio issues in the past. If Vettori wasn't coming off of a two-year layoff from an injury I would be very confident in him here, but instead I am going to pick Dolidze to get it done.
Expensive UFC DFS Picks
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
SuYoung You | 9500 | AJ Cunningham | Somewhat-Safe | -750 | -105 |
You is going to look to wrestle, and that is all he is going to try to do. If he gets Cunningham down, he should be able to get his back and control the fight, but the concern here is You doesn't strike very well so if it stays standing this is a 50/50 fight. Cunningham's last fight was at 155lbs, and this is at 135lbs, so he is going to have a massive size advantage.
Kevin Vallejos | 9100 | SeungWoo Choi | Somewhat-Safe | -600 | -225 |
Vallejos is a great striker, and he should win this fight. Choi has been knocked down in four straight fights so if he lands early, he should be able to get the KO.
Josias Musasa | 9400 | Carlos Vera | Somewhat-Safe | -750 | -150 |
Musasa has a huge power advantage, but he is going to have to deal with Vera's tricky submissions. He should be able to get an early KO. He did miss weight on his first attempt by only 0.5 lbs. which is never good, but hopefully he rehydrates well.
Da'Mon Blackshear | 9200 | Cody Gibson | Moderate | -485 | 175. |
Blackshear has a big grappling advantage and is the more explosive fighter here. Even in a decision win he can put up a high score with his control time and takedowns.
Carli Judice | 9300 | Yuneisy Duben | Moderate | -360 | 175 |
Carli is averaging over 150 significant strikes landed per fight in her short UFC career but has yet to get a win because she gets hit just as much. Duben has some serious power, but Judice has proven her ability to take damage and dish it out, and with her striking volume she can score well even in a decision.
Mid-Range UFC DFS Picks
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
Alexander Hernandez | 8600 | Kurt Holobaugh | Moderate | -205 | 330. |
Hernandez is the more physical fighter and should be able to dominate the early parts of the fight. As long as he can take control early this should be an easy win with him when he mixes in his wrestling and his striking.
Ryan Spann | 7900 | Waldo Cortes-Acosta | Moderate | 142 | 205. |
The mid-range gets greasy really quick this weekend so I'm going with a dog. Spann is moving up to Heavyweight after fighting as low as Middleweight. Spann is a first round or bust high upside play, and his submission skills are miles ahead of Waldo's. He has always gassed out after five minutes and I don't expect that to change at Heavyweight.
Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos | 8400 | Chidi Njokuani | Somewhat-Risky | -205 | 150. |
If Zaleski really wants to win this fight he'll use some wrestling, but if he doesn't this is going to be a war. Both of these men are powerful strikers, and one punch could end the fight, but as long as Zaleski fights smart he should win the fight.
Josiane Nunes | 8500 | Priscila Cachoeira | Somewhat-Risky | -185 | 275. |
Her opponent likes to march forward so we could get a lot of volume in this fight. Nunes has more power, my concern is that this becomes a low volume kickboxing match where the winner in a decision only scores 75-80pts.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta | 8300 | Ryan Spann | Somewhat-Risky | -170 | 180. |
Waldo's best attribute is his cardio and if this gets to a second round, he should be able to dominate. The first round is going to get greasy, especially if this hits the ground.
Chidi Njokuani | 7800 | Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos | Somewhat-Risky | 170 | 300. |
Chidi is really dangerous in the clinch or if he can control his opponent against the cage, and with Zaleski getting up there in age his durability is starting to get shaky.
Priscila Cachoeira | 7700 | Josiane Nunes | Risky | 154 | 380. |
She has a five-inch height advantage but is actually at a reach disadvantage. Her striking is decent, but she really struggles against grapplers. She probably doesn't need to worry about takedowns this week so I'm expecting a tightly contested fight.
Pay-Down UFC DFS Picks
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
Brendson Ribeiro | 7300 | Diyar Nurgozhay | Somewhat-Risky | 295 | 500. |
Ribeiro's opponent missed weight by five pounds, but I'm still picking him to win the fight straight up. Neither of these two are very impressive but Riberios is someone who if he doesn't get KO’d, he has the skills to win the fight.
Sam Hughes | 7400 | Stephanie Luciano | Somewhat-Risky | 195 | 900. |
This fight should be a close split decision, but I don't see it having much of a ceiling. With Hughes being so cheap she doesn't need to dominate the scoring to make the optimal lineup. If she can wear on Luciano, she might be able to get some takedowns later in the fight to steal the decision.
Daniel Barez | 7200 | Andre Lima | Risky | 310 | 600. |
Barez will lean on his wrestling sometimes and that might help him here. He has decent striking but he's going to be a little behind Lima most of the time on the feet. He shot 16 takedown attempts in his UFC debut so if he comes out with that game plan he could win it.
SeungWoo Choi | 7100 | Kevin Vallejos | Risky | +440 | 750. |
Choi has a ton of power, but he gets hit a lot. Vallejos was able to survive three rounds against Jean Silva who has been KOing everyone since his UFC debut, so he'll need to land really clean to knock him out.
Yuneisy Duben | 6900 | Carli Judice | Risky | 285 | 550 |
Duben has some power, and her opponent gets into firefights in all of her fights so her volume could hit 100+ significant strikes. It's tough to keep pace with Judice but if she lands the more powerful shots, she could get the decision win even if she gets out landed.
Carlos Vera | 6800 | Josias Musasa | Risky | 525 | 900. |
Vera is going to try to get a submission, but if he doesn’t, he'll likely be KO'd. His floor is 0pts, but he could get the first-round submission and hit the optimal lineup.
AJ Cunningham | 6700 | SuYoung You | Risky | 455 | 800. |
Cunningham is massive compared to You so if he keeps it standing this should be a close fight. These odds are too wide, and while he should be the rightful underdog this should be a much closer fight than the odds indicate.
Cody Gibson | 7000 | Da'Mon Blackshear | Risky | 370 | +1,100 |
Blackshear is better everywhere, but Gibson is durable and can grind on his opponents when he is at his best. I don't think this is a good matchup for him though because Blackshear should be the one dictating where the fight takes place.
