NHL DFS Playbook November 1st: Kaprizov leads the Minnesota Wild against Montreal.

If the Oilers are on the slate then McDavid is in the playbook simple as that. With 18 points in just 9 games the Oilers star is burning up the stat sheets. He may not be the must play he usually is with 12 games on the slate but I will have some shares of his over 20 DFS point average in my lineups.

Draisaitl has always played second fiddle to McDavid but NHL fans all know this guy can flat out play. His goal scoring numbers are a little low so far but tacking on 12 assists has helped his value in DFS. Much cheaper option on DK if you want exposure to the Oilers tonight. 

It didn't take long for Kadri to get used to playing in Calgary. With 9 points in 7 games he has helped shoulder the load of losing Gaudreau for this offense. The Flames get to take on the Kraken tonight who are allowing 3.4 goals per game, fire up Kadri. 

Here's the late night hammer matchup for all the night owls out there. Barkov spent most of last season in the 8k range on DK but thanks to a slow start he's more affordable than ever! This is the juiciest matchup him and the Panthers will ever have tonight too against Arizona, who is allowing 4.38 goals per game. 

The Capitals have done well defensively but that's in large part due to Darcy Kuemper who will not be playing this evening. Eichel is quietly plugging away for a Vegas team that is 8-2 on the season and will be playing the Caps on short rest, don't think many will target this game so a good way to get different. 

Much like the Oilers, there is an option to pay down for the Flames if you can't fit Kadri into the lineup. Lindhom is having a slow start to the season but is coming off a 5 SOG performance against the Oilers where he also added an assist. He only has 3 points on the season, that will change with the minutes he plays. 

A matchup against Chicago is going to warrant a writeup in the playbook for many players this season. They allow 3.33 goals per game and allow the 2nd most DFS points in the NHL to centers to this point. Nelson is on the 2nd line but he is also part of the PP1 unit and the Islanders should have plenty of chances given they lead the league in penalty minutes. 

I really hate myself for doing this but bargain price on a game that could pop off I need to mention. The Sharks have been terrible all season and that will not change but their matchup against the Ducks who allow 4.22 goals per game has my attention. I could go with Hertl or Couture from the Sharks but I'll go Hertl as he's on the top line. 

Here I go trying to take on the Habs again! My chances seem great going with Kaprizov as he has notched 6 goals and 5 assists through 9 games. He's also built a great DFS floor for himself average 4 shots on goal per game this season, so less reason to sweat. 

Death, taxes and stack against Arizona, these are the constants of life. We already have Barkov at a discount in the playbook but Tkachuk is going to cost you as he's been much more productive with 13 points in 9 games. He is among the highest DFS average scorers this season too with 19.3 points per game. 

The Stars are rolling right along this season and tonight they get a Kings team that is seeing high scores it seems overnight and on short rest. LA allows 3.82 goals per game, the 6th most in the NHL and has gone over the total in 9 of 11 games this season. Need a Dallas piece somewhere if this game goes nuclear, Robertson is a great bet. 

Slow start to the season for Forsberg with just 2 goals over 7 games, considering he's topped 40 in the past. Nashville hasn't been elite on offense but going back against the Oilers game script could pay off if the game goes wild. 

Bratt is really just a play on DraftKings tonight given that his price hasn't been adjusted by the salary cappers over there. The Canucks allow the 4th most goals per game in the NHL and Bratt has been ultra productive thus far with 15 points over 9 games. This game total is sitting at 6.5 goals, we could see closer to 8 or 9. 

Hate myself twice now in one playbook but here we go with another Shark! Same reasoning as Hertl, discount price for a guy going against a bad team like the Ducks, there's slate winning potential here. 

More stacking against the Coyotes here, and a way to get cheaper and different from Tkachuk. Verhaeghe is on the top line and will be in the thick of scoring chances in game where there will be many. He is also fresh off a 3 point performance that netted 29.5 points over on DK, the ceiling is very high here. 

Here's the bargain floor for the night out on the wing. Mikheyev has done well for the Canucks since moving to the second line collecting 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 2 games. He's also been known to block a shot or two so that helps the value. 

Josi is the top option on the slate for blueliners and it's for good reason, dude is a stud! He only has 3 points on the season but yet is averaging 16.4 DFS points per game thanks to 38 SOG over just 7 games. I'd wager he finds his way on the stat sheet tonight too as this one should be wide open. 

I just can't quit the ghost, especially as I am taking down my Halloween decorations. He's been so consistent this year with over double digit DFS points in 6 of 8 games and will get a game flow that requires him to be aggressive against Florida. 

Finally a Sharks play tonight that doesn't feel slimy! Karlsson has been modestly plugging away on a bad Sharks team with 6 goals and 11 total points on the season and has turned into one of the safer floor plays in DFS. His matchup tonight against the Ducks will be a juicy one too. 

Montour has turned in 4 great DFS performances over the past 6 games, only really disappointing against the Islanders and that makes sense. He's on the top pairing due to injuries and he is quarterbacking the PP1 right now, no better time than to plug him in against the lowly Yotes. 

Time to get some more exposure to the Wild tonight as they should score big against Montreal, sorry Chris. Spurgeon has been productive to the point of over double digits points per game on average and is coming off a game where he had 6 shots on goal. 

Noah Dobson is normally the blueliner you want for the Islanders but he's expensive so I'll go another direction. Pulock has 5 points through 9 games and has had a handful of fairly productive games. He's also on the ice and ton which means more chances to collect points against a really bad Chicago team. 

Top option in terms of price for me with be Markstrom, although still waiting on confirmation that he is starting. He is 4-1-0 on the season who is coming off a tough outing in Edmonton, is think he and his 2.6 GAA have some positive regression tonight. 

Sorokin has been a great staple in DFS this season as he's a very good goaltender that plays in a defensive friendly system. He has a GAA of 2.21 and SV% of .933, that checks all the boxes for me. 

It has yet to be announced who is starting for Vegas tonight but treat this as an either or selection between Logan Thompson/Adin Hill. The Capitals have been average on offense and will be on short rest. Should still pump in shots though which is good for business. 

For some reason I am liking the cheaper goalie options today and that continues with Scott Wedgewood. The Stars have been very good defensively this season and take on a Kings side that played last night, big potential for what will be a low owned goalie on the slate.
