Welcome to our Sunday Playbook and NHL DFS picks today!

We have a smaller NHL slate to close out the week but it's an important time of the year and teams are fighting for every point they can get right now.

NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, March 30th

We have a few teams on the second night of a back-to-back, which should put a few backup goalies in net tonight.

NHL DFS Pick'em Picks on Sleeper Fantasy

Taylor Hall has the hot hand right now with five goals over his last three games, along with 10 shots on goal over his last four games. The Carolina Hurricanes have a solid matchup against the New York Islanders, who have allowed 60.21 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations over the last two weeks, which is the 11th worst in the league.

Jake Sanderson and the Ottawa Senators come in with a solid 3.6 implied goal total, as they are set to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins are an absolute mess on defense and have allowed a staggering 4.51 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situation, which is the worst in the league over the last two weeks. Sanderson comes in with seven points in his last 10 games and should be able to add to that tonight.

William Nylander had no shots last night. That doesn't often happen for a player who has 235 shots on the season, which is good for the 11th most in the entire league. I love a good bounce-back spot, and this is it tonight versus the Anaheim Ducks, who have allowed 67.68 Total Shot per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is good for the third-worst over the last two weeks.

Sunday Salary Cap DFS Picks

Goalie Of the Day: David Rittich - LAK

The Los Angeles Kings will likely have David Rittich in net tonight since Darcy Kuemper was in the crease last night. While Rittich is expensive tonight, he has a great matchup against the San Jose Sharks, who simply aren't scoring right now.

Over the last two weeks, the Sharks have only scored 1.53 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the fourth-lowest in the league. Rittich has been up and down as of late, but this is the type of matchup that can help him get back on track, along with being an important game for the Kings in the standings.

Play Of The Day: Auston Matthews - TOR

Auston Matthews is by far the most expensive player on the slate, but he's well worth it since the Maple Leafs have a 3.8 implied goal total versus the Anaheim Ducks

Matthews is on fire right now with 12 points, 42 shots on goal, and 16 blocked shots, putting up fantasy points every night. I know the Leafs can be a bit inconsistent at times, but this isn't a matchup they should be taking lightly. They are just one point ahead of the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning, which will be a dog fight until the last day of the season. Multiple points and several shots should be on tap for Matthews tonight.

Value Play Of The Day: Rutger McGroarty - PIT

Rutger McGroarty is expected to be on the first forward line and the second power-play for the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, and only $3.2K on DraftKings. He's only played three games with them this season, all of which came back in October, so we're not drawing on a massive sample size of stats.

He has a prominent offensive role and is extremely affordable tonight. Also, the matchup against the Ottawa Senators is very solid. As much as they are playing better and in a wild-card spot, they have still allowed 2.71 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations over the last two weeks.

Stack Of The Day: LAK L1/PP1 (Anze Kopitar, Adrian Kempe, Andrei Kuzmenko

I really like the Los Angeles Kings as a stacking option tonight. Just to be clear, I think the Toronto Maple Leafs are also a fantastic option but that stack is more expensive, and when we're dealing with a small four-game slate, there aren't a ton of value options. The Kings are just a bit less expensive, and it helps with lineup construction overall..

The Kings have a 3.8 implied goal total, since they are taking on the San Jose Sharks, who have allowed 2.76 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the 13th worst in the league over the last two weeks. These three players have full correlation on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, giving us plenty of upside.
