Welcome to another batch of NHL DFS Picks with our Playbook! We have a nice eight-game slate to focus on.
Some teams have very good matchups, but as always, we need to find value and a good goalie. Let’s dive into the action and see which NFL DFS projections we need to be focusing our attention.
NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, April 5th
Thursday Salary Cap NHL DFS Picks
Goalie Of The Day: Adin Hill - VGK
A lot of the goalies today are in tough spots so let's go with the safest option at least in my mind in Adin Hill. The Golden Knights are on the road taking on a Flames team that can struggle to score goals and in the last 10 games they've netted only 28 total goals. Look for the Vegas defense to have the edge over the Calgary forwards as well and it should be a nice night for the Vegas goaltender.
Player Of The Day: Auston Matthews - TOR
The Maple Leafs forwards in general are in a smash spot today against Columbus who has one of the worst team defenses in the NHL! They've given up 40 goals in the last 10 games and given their run and gun style of play its hard to see them turning anything around at this point in the season. Matthews has 8 points in the last 6 games as well so he's ticking upward and it'll continue tonight.
Value Play Of The Day: Jared McCann - SEA
The matchup between San Jose and Seattle will be one of pride as both teams are out of the playoff running already but we could see a sneaky high scoring game. McCann has had another nice season for himself with 55 total points and lately he's been on fire with 9 points in the last 6 games! The Sharks allow the most DFS points per game to left wingers this season too so McCann is a must add for me.
Stack Of The Day - TOR 1 (Auston Matthews - Mitch Marner - Matthew Knies)

Player News
Miguel Andujar hit a two-run homer and drove in three in a loss Friday to the Mets.
Pete Alonso went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI in a win over the Athletics on Friday.
Edwin DÃaz gave up two runs but still was credited with a save against the Athletics on Friday.
JP Sears worked four innings and allowed three runs in a loss Friday to the Mets.
Griffin Canning gave up four runs on seven hits but still picked up a win Friday over the Athletics while working 5 1/3 innings.
William Contreras drove in a pair of runs in the Brewers’ blowout win over the DIamondbacks on Friday.
Contreras drove in a run with a sac fly in the fifth, and he drove in another with an infield single in the ninth. It’s nice to see some production from Contreras over the past couple games, as he’s hitting a disappointing — but not yet panic-inducing — .174/.304/.326.
