Welcome to the fantasy hockey waiver wire report! As usual, every week, the weekly waiver wire report will help you target some players that you should be adding, or monitoring, on the waiver wire. With most fantasy hockey regular seasons coming to an end this week, the waiver wire becomes even more important. We’ve made it this far, now it's time to finish the job. Let’s get right into it for this week.

Charles Hudon - Montreal Canadiens - Winger

With Tomas Tatar out of the lineup due to a shoulder injury, Charles Hudon is going to get the opportunity to show management that he deserves to be in the NHL. We know that he can score goals-- he has 27-goals in the AHL this season-- but that scoring touch has never translated to the NHL level. He’s skating on the second line and second power play unit, so there’s no better time than now to start racking up some goals. 

Igor Shesterkin - New York Rangers - Goalie

Let’s stick with the Oilers here and talk about Tyler Ennis. Maybe Athanasiou is already taken in your league, well Tyler Ennis is a nice second option. He is currently skating on the top line with McDavid, and that can only help him rack up some points. As long as he stays in the top-6, he should be a player to consider on the waiver wire. 

Duncan Keith - Chicago Blackhawks - Defence

Don’t look now, but Duncan Keith has eight points in the last eight games. The Veteran defenceman isn’t the elite player he once was, but he’s playing well now, and that could help a fantasy owner in desperate need of some depth on the blue line. The Blackhawks are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, and that might explain why Keith has been seeing over 27-minutes a night. He’s going to cool off at some point, but let’s hope it doesn’t start next week.

Scott Laughton - Philadelphia Flyers - Winger

With James van Riemsdyk out of the lineup due to a broken hand, the Flyers are going to need some to step up and produce offensively, and Scott Laughton could be that person. He has nine points in the last six games, including four multi-point games. I don’t know how long he can continue this hot run, but as long as he’s skating in the top-6 and seeing a healthy amount of ice time, he’s a player to consider adding.

Andrew Mangiapane - Calgary Flames - Winger

It looks like Andrew Mangiapane has found a home on the Flames second line. He’s been a scoring machine of late-- four goals in his last seven games-- and has been seeing some power play time on the second unit. He now has 17-goals on the season, and if he continues scoring goals at this pace, he could maybe finish the season with 25. It’s a stretch, but it’s not out of the question.
