Rico Dowdle NFL Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 7.0 Rushing Attempts

I can feel myself getting suckered into the “coach speak” on this one but Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that Dowdle would play less special teams this season due to his focus needing to be on his increased role in the Cowboys primary offense.

This comes on the heels of an offseason where many reports were that Dowdle could very well be the primary running back for this Cowboys offense with Ezekiel Elliot being more of the short-yardage and goal line handcuff.

IF that holds true then we should see Dowdle have little trouble getting to seven rushing attempts here in Week 1 even in a tougher matchup, on the road against the Cleveland Browns.
