We did it, folks. We survived bye week hell number 1 with six teams on bye. There is still another one coming at the worst possible time - Week 14. Right before the fantasy playoffs. That week we have six teams on bye once again: Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Commanders. For the time being though we are safe so let’s take a look at the snaps from Week 9 to help prepare us for the tough stretches to come.

NFL Snap Counts - Week 9

Arizona Cardinals

WR: Robbie Anderson has finally worked his way up to a full snap share. DeAndre Hopkins led with 60 of 64 then Rondale Moore at 57 and Anderson at 53.

RB: James Conner is back and he took his job back pretty quickly - 46 snaps this week for Conner and only 17 for Eno Benjamin.

TE: Zach Ertz ran 45 of 46 routes and didn’t pass block one time. Beautiful. The only question left is what happens when Marquise Brown returns.

Atlanta Falcons

WR: There were 27 dropbacks. Drake London ran 24 routes, Olamide Zaccheaus ran 19, and Damiere Byrd ran 15.

RB: Cordarrelle Patterson split snaps with Tyler Allgeier in his first game back 24 to 23 but we can assume he’ll get the bulk of the work once his stamina is up.

TE: Kyle Pitts only ran 19 routes which isn’t great with 27 pass plays. Parker Hesse continues to play extra offensive tackle with 29 snaps, and four routes.

Baltimore Ravens

WR: With Rashod Bateman done for the year, Devin Duvernay becomes the top WR option. Demarcus Robinson has been playing the most snaps with Bateman out.

RB: Kenyan Drake (46 snaps) led the charge with Gus Edwards out. Justice Hill (17) was merely a change of pace back.

TE: Isaiah Likely stepped into the Mark Andrews role and tied for the team lead in routes run with 20. The Saints are just a tough defense for tight ends. Mark Andrews is expected back after the bye.

Buffalo Bills

WR: Gabriel Davis and Stefon Diggs on the outside, Isaiah McKenzie plays slot but only a partial snap share because they use blocking TEs, a FB, and other WRs too.

RB: They traded for Nyheim Hines but he must still be picking up the playbook as he only played 4 snaps. Devin Singletary started and played 46 and James Cook played 14. Expect Hines to take over those Cook snaps.

TE: Not bad usage for Knox - 33 routes run on 43 dropbacks with three pass-blocking snaps. He needs an injury to a WR though to have high-end upside.

Carolina Panthers

WR: DJ Moore and Terrace Marshall both ran 32 routes as the split end and flanker - Shi Smith played slot and ran 27.

RB: With Chuba Hubbard out D’Onta Foreman was set for a big workload but only played 21 snaps in the blowout loss. They let Raheem Blackshear (17) and Spencer Brown (13) get some work.

TE: if you were forced to start one of these guys for some reason it should be Tommy Tremble but he only ran 19 routes.

Chicago Bears

WR: Darnell Mooney ran 40 of 43 routes. No one else ran more than 30 but it’s pretty clear that the recently acquire Chase Claypool is set to be the WR2. He looked good on only 17 routes. Expect more this week.

RB: David Montgomery played 52 snaps, and Khalil Herbert played 21. Can’t trust Hebert.

TE: Earlier in the season Cole Kmet was playing every snap and running a ton of routes but the team just wasn’t throwing. Now they are throwing but Kmet was asked to stay in and block on 8 pass plays again - he blocked on 9 last week. Quite annoying for his production.

Cincinnati Bengals

WR: With Ja’Marr Chase out the Bengals went with a lot of two tight end sets this week - which made sense the way Mixon was playing. Only Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are fantasy relevant for now.

RB: Joe Mixon showed everyone what he’s capable of. Chris Evans got hurt making Samaje Perine a handcuff candidate.

TE: Hayden Hurst ran 23 routes out of 31 dropbacks. That’s pretty standard for him which is what makes him such a boring option.

Cleveland Browns

Dallas Cowboys

Denver Broncos

Detroit Lions

WR: Same as always. It will be DJ Chark, Jameson Williams, and Amon-Ra St. Brown eventually. Khalil Raymond and Tom Kennedy filled in for Chark and Williams.

RB: D’Andre Swift is dealing with ankle and shoulder issues so he played 10 snaps. Craig Reynolds got hurt making Jamaal Williams a solid start in fantasy once again.

TE: The Lions embraced the tank and traded TJ Hockenson. Brock Wright at first glance looks like the man as he played 50 of 62 snaps but he only ran 19 routes out of 29. So a very risky start.

Green Bay Packers

WR: Romeo Doubs left the game after the very first play. Even then, only Allen Lazard and Sammy Watkins played more than 40% of the snaps.

RB: Aaron Jones left with an injury and was seen in a walking boot - he has yet to practice this week. That puts AJ Dillon in the driver's seat.

TE: We’ve said this 9 weeks in a row. Robert Tonyan doesn’t run all of the routes. This week he ran 24 on 52 dropbacks. The ceiling is pretty low.

Houston Texans

WR: No Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins so Phillip Dorsett and Chris Moore played the big roles. There were 32 dropbacks, Dorset ran 25 routes while Moore ran 23.

RB: Dameon Pierce is the man in all phases - Rex Burkhead played 13 snaps to his 47.

TE: If it were a showdown slate and you had to pick one it would be Brevin Jordan. But his 20 routes on 32 dropbacks are not enough for redraft leagues.

Indianapolis Colts

WR: There were 44 dropbacks. Michael Pittman ran 42 routes, Parris Campbell ran 40, and Alec Pierce ran 36. Those are the guys.

RB: Jonathan Taylor continues to battle injury and Nyheim Hines is gone so Deon Jackson is your started with 39 snaps. Jordan Wilkins is next up with 19.

TE: No one here is separating themselves at all. Mo ran 19 routes, Granson ran 17. Gross.

Jacksonville Jaguars

WR: Same as always - Zay Jones, Christian Kirk, and Marvin Jones are your three WRs that play. When one comes out for two-WR sets, it’s Marvin Jones.

RB: Travis Etienne played 56 of 69 snaps. It’s his show now.

TE: Evan Engram left the game with a back injury - he returned but a bit too late. His usage is normally good so monitor the injury.

Kansas City Chiefs

WR: Mecole Hardman got banged up but the recently acquired Kadarius Toney is destined to replace him. The three WRs when all is said and done are likely to be JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Toney.

RB: The setup is that Jerick McKinnon is the pass back while Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire split the run work. They threw a ton so McKinnon played 63 snaps.

TE: Travis Kelce is the king.

Las Vegas Raiders

WR: Davante Adams played ran all 40 routes and was a beast. Mack Hollins and Hunter Renfrow each ran 34 which is par for the course for them.

RB:  Josh Jacobs is the locked-in starter. Ameer Abdullah plays sporadic pass plays - all 14 of his snaps were passing plays.

TE: Whenever Darren Waller is out you can expect to see a good amount of Foster Moreau. He played 57 of 59 snaps. He’s just not that good.

Los Angeles Chargers

WR: Yeesh, the top two WRs were out here. Josh Palmer led the charge running 45 of 46 routes. DeAndre Carter and Michael Bandy each ran about 40.

RB: Austin Ekeler is clearly RB1 - Spiller comes in to spell him from time to time.

TE: Even when they need him badly, Gerald Everett still doesn’t quite play every play. He ran 37 of 46 routes.

Los Angeles Rams

WR: Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson played their full roles. Van Jefferson started but only played limited snaps and was actually out-snapped by Ben Skowronek. It should be Van’s job eventually.

RB: The Ronnie Rivers experience was short-lived. Darrell Henderson played more snaps than Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers combined.

TE: Tyler Higbee at one point was running a ton of routes but as of late he’s been blocking on 20%+ of his pass plays. Can’t trust that.

Miami Dolphins

WR: Same as always - Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are full-time, and Trent Sherfield rotates with Mike Gesicki in the slot.

RB: The recently acquired Jeff Wilson played 28 snaps while Raheem Mostert played 26. The conversion to the 49ers backfield is complete.

TE: Durham Smythe plays in-line tight end, and Mike Gesicki mostly plays the slot. 19 routes of 34 pass plays for Gesicki. Not enough.

Minnesota Vikings

WR: Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen play the most snaps every week while KJ Osborn isn’t far behind (53 of 66 snaps).

RB: Dalvin Cook is locked in, and Alexander Mattison is a pure handcuff with only 9 snaps.

TE: TJ Hockenson picked the playbook up quickly and played 60 of 66 snaps. Should be started every week.

New England Patriots

WR: There were 34 dropbacks here. Jakobi Meyers (31) and Kendrick Bourne (30) led the charge. Tyquan Thornton was the next man in (23).

RB: Rhamondre Stevenson continues to earn his RB1 status. Harris was inactive with an illness but even when active he’s been used sparingly.

TE: Hunter Henry ran 22 routes, and Jonnu Smith ran 13. Still not enough but Henry is the guy.

New Orleans Saints

WR: Chris Olave ran 35 routes, no one else ran more than 23. We just need to wait for Jarvis Landry or Michael Thomas to get back.

RB: Alvin Kamara is the man - with Mark Ingram out for a couple of weeks, Dwayne Washington will chip in.

TE: Juwan a Johnson ran 30 routes which was second to Chris Olave. He’s a converted WR himself so that makes sense.

New York Giants

BYE

New York Jets

WR: Elijah Moore continues to get the silent treatment. If you are chasing the playing time, Garrett Wilson and Denzel Mims played the most.

RB: James Robinson is being ramped up and will likely have a major role soon enough. Michael Carter should maintain some pass-down work.

TE: Tyler Conklin ran 23 of 29 routes, and C.J. Uzomah only ran 10. Conklin is hard to trust but he’s the guy on this team.

Philadelphia Eagles

WR: AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith run all the routes, and Quez Watkins mixes in at the slot. It’s been like that for the whole season.

RB: Miles Sanders gets the most work in all phases. If he were to get hurt, it would be Gainwell on pass downs and Boston Scott on run downs.

TE: Dallas Goedert is about as safe as it gets at the tight end spot. He played more snaps than any WR.

Pittsburgh Steelers

San Francisco 49ers

Seattle Seahawks

WR: Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are the dudes, Dee Eskridge played the slot with Marquise Goodwin out but still only ran 27 of 41 routes.

RB: Kenneth Walker is the only Seattle back you need to worry about.

TE: They once again split snaps almost evenly but it isn’t really even for fantasy when you consider that Noah Fant ran 26 routes and Will Dissly only ran 15.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

WR: Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are the every-down players while Julio Jones and Scotty Miller rotate. Miller playing more snaps than Jones essentially means neither is viable.

RB: Leonard Fournette continues to play more pass plays (41 to 20) but Rachaad White is chipping away at the carries at least (11 to 8 in favor of Fournette).

TE: Any time Cameron Brate is out, Cade Otton is worth a potential spot start. His 56 routes tied Mike Evans and he didn’t pass block one time.

Tennessee Titans

WR: If you are going to start any WR from this team, it’s Robert Woods or Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Cody Hollister only ran 14 routes.

RB: Derrick Henry is the man. Don’t tell Hilliard is next in line.

TE: Geoff Swaim plays the most snaps but Austin Hooper ran the most routes with 15. Still not enough for us to care.

Washington Commanders

WR: Terry McLaurin played every snap and Curtis Samuel wasn’t far behind with 28 routes out of 35. No one else is viable until Jahan Dotson gets back.

RB: With JD McKissic out it was pretty simple. Brian Robinson skews short yardage while Antonio Gibson skews pass-down situations.

TE: Logan Thomas ran 24 of 35 routes which isn’t ideal but a step in the right direction. He ran more routes than any WR after McLaurin and Samuel.
