NFL DFS Week 9 Picks, Projections & Playbook For DraftKings & FanDuel

The top three QB's on this slate are all playable this week. Jackson will likely be the lowest rostered given the matchup Jalen Hurts has against the Jaguars but that doesn't make him any less of a play. If you are making multiple lineups this week you should get some Jackson exposure and look for another week of 25+ fantasy points.

The rushing touchdowns are starting to pile up with Hurts totaling five rushing scores over the last two weeks. As long as the ‘tush push’ is a legal play Hurts will have a crazy high ceiling and this matchup against the Jaguars figures to make him the top choice among the top priced QB plays.

Allen hasn't had a ton of success against the Dolphins but adding Amari Cooper to his receiver group and the recent developments of Keon Coleman certainly has him equipped this week to make some noise. Like the two QB's above we also know that Allen can make a big impact with his legs and maybe that ends up on display this week with a home matchup against the Dolphins. 

Running back Chase Brown is going to be one of the highest rostered players this week and when the running back is highly rostered you usually see the QB without too much ownership. I do like Burrow this week as he is as capable of throwing for 250 and two touchdowns this week against a bad Raiders defense.

Going to be one of the more popular plays of the week. The price point is really solid and he is coming off of a four touchdown performance and gets a matchup against a weak Cowboys defense. It also helps that his receivers are all fairly priced as well making it an easy stack.

In tournaments you can also flip to the Cowboys side. The Dallas offense has not hit like many expected this season but the Falcons defense hasn't been anything special. We could still see Prescott do some damage throwing to Lamb, Tolbert and Ferguson this weekend.

The Ravens pass defense is one of the worst in the NFL and Bo Nix is coming off of a monster passing performance where he threw three touchdowns and ran for another against a weak Panthers defense. If the Ravens jump ahead then Nix will have to throw which can also lead to him breaking lose out of the pocket. He is a GPP only play but the ceiling seems pretty solid.

First game back as a starting QB was a vintage Jameis Winston performance as he zipped the ball around the field on his way to 334 yards and three touchdowns. The Chargers defense has been better this season but with Los Angeles traveling and Winston getting another week repping as the starting QB we should be giving him some considerations at just $5,400.

Much like the QB position, I think there is merit to playing any one of the high priced running backs. I lean Henry overall given the ceiling we've seen out of him this season and the Ravens willingness to run the football at all points of a football game. He also feels less likely to lose out on touchdowns when compared to Saquon Barkley who has ceded five rushing TD's to Jalen Hurts over the last two weeks.  

Cover of the playbook as he draws the best running back matchup on the board. The LONE worry is going to be the red zone work as the Saints are without both Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller which means Taysom Hill could very well get the touches and steal possible touchdowns. My hope is that Kamara can still score and with Carr back the value of Kamara should only go up.

Cook ran for 78 yards and two touchdowns against the Dolphins back in Week 2 and he heads into their Week 9 matchup fresh off his 111-yard and two touchdown performance against the Seahawks last week. While we worried about the touchdown volume with Josh Allen as his QB, Cook has eight rushing touchdowns this season and is a good bet to find the endzone again in Week 9.

The Dallas defense has been as bad against the run as they've been against the pass and to everyone's pleasant surprise we are actually seeing Bijan get the volume right now out of the Falcons backfield. This dude is super talented and we are finally getting to TRUST his usage when on the field. 

The running back opposite of Cook in that matchup is going to be a combo of Achane and Mostert. Achane should lead the team in touches and the Bills have really struggled against running back pass plays which was on full display in Week 2 when Achane had seven catches. We saw Mostert steal two touchdowns last week which isn't the most ideal but we know that Achane is capable of breaking lose for big gains.

The Bears have realized the weapon they have in D'Andre Swift out of the backfield with the Chicago running back averaging 90+ yards rushing over the last four weeks with a touchdown in each game. He continues to be used in the passing game with last week being the rare exception where he had zero targets. The Cardinals run defense is a weak point and as long as he stays healthy I see no reason to think Swift doesn't get another 15+ carries this week and hopefully around 20+ touches.

Your chalk this week is going to be Chase Brown as the Bengals are looking like they will be without Zack Moss. Brown hasn't been the most efficient running back but the volume and the touchdown upside is going to be there for him this week in his matchup against the Raiders.

Well, it seems like the Giants have made their choice and it is Tracy who will be the lead running back after he managed 20 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown against a tough Steelers defense in Week 8. He has cleared concussion protocol and figures to be in for a solid workload against the Commanders this weekend.

Lamb showed you exactly why he's worth rostering even with the Cowboys offense struggling as he torched the 49ers in Week 8 for 146 yards and two touchdowns while being targeted 17 times. Lamb has now scene 31 targets over the last two weeks and with that kind of volume he is going to be difficult to ignore this week.

Back-to-back weeks with a touchdown for Chase which now gives him seven total on the year. If you are paying up for a receiver you need him to find the end zone and get the target volume. Chase checks off both of those boxes.

Top matchup on the board with the Jaguars boasting the worst pass defense in football. Brown had five for 84 last but failed to find the end zone which ended his three game touchdown streak. I'd anticipate him finding the end zone and then some here this weekend against Jacksonville. 

Nabers has been a target monster for the Giants and it was back in Week 2 when we saw him torch this Commanders secondary for 10 catches on 18 targets for 127 yards and a score. He had seven catches on 13 targets last week and has seen at least 10 targets in all but two games this season.

Hill had six catches on nine targets for 72 yards in his first game back with Tua Tagovailoa as the Dolphins QB. The price and value is only going to go up for Hill now that he has a legitimate NFL QB throwing him the football and it is only a matter of time before we get that annual 200-yard, two+ touchdown game out of Hill.

Super popular play. Love him in cash games and tournaments. The Cowboys secondary has been torched all season long and London is having the breakout season we had all hoped for with Kirk Cousins at QB for the Falcons.

He returned to the Saints lineup last week and lit up the Chargers for eight catches and 107 yards. This week he has Derek Carr back as his QB and an elite matchup against a bad Panthers defense.

If not playing London in GPP tournaments then Mooney is your man. The Falcons deep threat is on pace for his second career 1,000-yard season and his big play upside gives is what we love to see in GPP tournaments.

Are we chasing the points?  Eh, maybe. But we knew this kid was talented and we figured that Herbert would look to go to him as a Keenan Allen replacement. The matchup is fine, the price tag works too. I think he is more of a cash game play and GPP play.

For GPP's I like me some Jaylen Waddle. He is a super talented receiver that has dealt with injuries and then inconsistent QB play for the last two years. With Tua back and another game under their belt together I'd be willing to take a shot on Waddle in this spot at this reduced price tag.

Finally the break out game from Courtland Sutton we had been waiting for. Eight catches for 100 yards last week as part of the Bo Nix coming out party and now he has a great matchup against a Ravens defense that has been giving up big plays all season long.

Feels like Meyers just flies under the radar but with Davante Adams gone he is the top receiver outside of Brock Bowers in this offense. The target volume is definitely consistent and Meyers is a guy that moves the chains and has really good hands. Another guy I like in cash games this weekend.

Well, apparently the Week 7 performance was no fluke because in Week 8 he topped it by catches seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. Tillman has played 82% and 92% of the offensive snaps since the Amari Cooper trade and he is poised to take over as the top receiver in this offense moving forward.

The Panthers traded away Diontae Johnson and they will be without Adam Thielen this week as well. It was Coker who had the big week with Bryce Young last week and as a value option poised for increased workload again this week against the Saints he makes for an interesting punt play.

Sometimes things do not have to be hard. The Bengals have struggled against tight ends. Brock Bowers may be the best tight end in football already as a rookie. The target share is there, the matchup is there, there is enough value at other positions as well to make spending up a tight end this week feasible. 

If I could copy and paste most of what I wrote above and put it here I would. The matchup is good, the target share is there and Njoku is finding the end zone. We saw him be an absolute force in the second half of last season and it is shaping up that he may be that good again this year with the change in QB.

Before there was Brock Bowers there was Kyle Pitts who had 1,000 yards as a rookie. Then he had a knee injury and then he had to deal with Arthur Smith. He now has a real QB and a new coach and they are finally getting him the football and he is looking every bit the top 10 pick that he was. Again, this Cowboys defense is struggling and Pitts is in a spot to make an impact.

You can be worried about the snap share if you want but we can't hate the touchdown production over the last three weeks and the target share hasn't been all that bad either. The Broncos have been a team that tight ends have historically done well against so lets use Andrews in cash games for this weekend.

If Drake Maye is the starter then I'm in on Henry as the rookie QB has been locked in on his tight end this season. The Titans do have a good defense but Maye just brings this Patriots offense up a level.

Don't yell at me ok? Listen, the Saints are missing both Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller this week and they face the horrid Panthers run defense. WE WILL see Taysom Hill with the ball in his hands in this game and there is a REALLY good chance that he does so while in the red zone. If he manages to get in the end zone then he will pay off this price tag.

With no Tee Higgins we see Gesicki last week go off against the Eagles, catching seven of eight targets for 73 yards. Higgins is looking unlikely to play again this week which should set Gesicki up for more usage in the passing offense against the Raiders.

The Jaguars offense outside of their running game is pretty bad. The Eagles have a really good pass rush and a secondary that honestly should be playing better than they have this season. At $3,100 this just feels like the easy play.

The Titans could be without Tony Pollard this weekend and Tajae Spears is already ruled out. The run defense has been the weakness for the Patriots this season but if there is nobody to run the football with then there is a good chance they keep the Titans offense at bay and maybe force a turnover with a few sacks on Mason Rudolph to settle into 8-to-10 fantasy points.

This team gets after the QB and doesn't really give up a ton of points. If we get 6-to-8 fantasy points here then that is a win at $2,300 and I think that's a pretty safe floor bet with the Giants this weekend.
