FanDuel Sportsbook Same Game Parlay for Rams vs. Lions
Now that we’ve primed the pump with a profit boost, it’s time to pick a parlay that’ll produce some profit.
Here are each of the legs that will form our Rams vs. Lions Same Game Parlay.
Jameson Williams over 39.5 receiving yards (-110) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Williams enters the 2024-25 season as the undisputed #2 WR on this outstanding Lions offense. The 12th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft has been a popular breakout candidate this preseason.
Too many people forget that Williams spent of his rookie season rehabbing a torn ACL he suffered his last year at Alabama, then started his second season with a four-game suspension. Are there questions about consistency and drops? Sure. But between the missed time and targets being tight with such a loaded WR Room last season, I view his “shortcoming” as being mostly situational.
And tonight’s situation? A shootout. Detroit’s expected team total currently sits at 29 points, the highest in Week 1. Josh Reynolds is in Denver and won’t draw any targets from Jared Goff tonight, and new #3 WR Kalif Raymond is more gadget-y than good. The volume will be there for Wlliams to comfortably clear his receiving prop this evening.
Tonight’s target volume might not even matter. Williams is such a threat to hit a home run at any time that he could easily clear this prop with just a reception or two. I don’t think that will be the case, though – and neither do our Weekly Player Projections, which have him pegged for 5.7 targets, 2.6 catches and 58.4 yards receiving.
We’ll start our winning Same Game Parlay with Williams.

Cooper Kupp 50+ yards receiving (-235) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The +565 SGP we hit on Friday had a similar leg in it for similar reasons. One of three legs in that winner was an alt line for Josh Jacobs to rack up 50+ rushing yards at -210 odds. The rationale? It checked every box, and I had extreme confidence in it. After all, we’re here to win some money - not see how high we can push the odds of a parlay before we lose it.
In Kupp’s case, there’s correlation with our other picks, a high likelihood he’ll see high volume, and also: health. Yes, health. Kupp was comically banged up throughout the 2023-24 campaign. He missed five games and was hobbled in countless others.
Despite the injury issues, Kupp was targeted seven or more times in nine of the 12 games he played. I expect a high-scoring game and for Los Angeles to trail throughout, meaning he should be in line for another heavy workload.
His median projection pegs him for 7.7 targets, 5.1 receptions and 65.5 yards receiving. Given the profit boost, plus our other legs at lower odds, I’m locking Kupp’s alt receiving line into tonight’s Same Game Parlay at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Detroit Lions to win (-240) at FanDuel Sportsbook
This game will be close, competitive and perhaps even back-and-forth, but I'm hard-pressed to see how Los Angeles walks away with a win here.
Our Matchups and Game Preview shows no clear advantage for the visitors. With All-Universe DT Aaron Donald retired, there's nobody on the Rams defense who can truly disrupt a play single-handedly and take pressure off the larger unit during the game-long firefight.
Last year, Detroit's defense was stiff against the run and soggy against the pass. The Lions front office did everything they could on draft-day to address this deficiency, using their first- and second-round picks on CBs Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr., respectively. Both rookies are expected to start and have an immediate impact - even if that means simply slowing down Kupp and Nacua, and not stopping them entirely.
Let's lock in the Lions to win the game, and win our Same Game Parlay in kind.

Player News
Matthew Judon said he “probably” won’t return to the Falcons in 2025.
The Falcons, of course, drafted both Jalon Walker and James Pearce in the first round. In an exclusive interview with CardPlayer.com — not to be confused with our PokerNews.com James Cook scoop a few days ago — Judon said that his sack total was down because “I dropped (into coverage) on 60 percent of the plays. It’s hard to get a pick and a sack on the same play.” Judon also told Kyle Odegard that “a couple” teams had expressed interest in him but he was in no rush to sign.
Jets released P Thomas Morstead.
Austin McNamara and Kai Kroeger will compete for the Jets punter job this year. The 39-year-old former Saint was the league’s oldest punter last season. If he wants to keep punting, he can absolutely join the tryout circuit or a competition elsewhere. But this is probably a sign that the Morstead’s 16-year career is close to an end at this point.
Lions offensive coordinator John Morton said it’s “going to be a breakout year” for Jameson Williams.
Morton said he’d never “been around someone that fast,” then quickly corrected himself to note that Jhamyr Gibbs is also that fast. Williams came on strong last year with a 58/1001/7 receiving line, but offensive coordinator praise could mean even more targets are coming. It would likely come at the expense of Amon-Ra St. Brown’s production if Williams were to truly break out, though there’s plenty for St. Brown to give and still be a top-flight fantasy wideout. It’s risky to read too much into statements like this in the offseason, but the new offensive coordinator telling you he thinks it’ll be a breakout year for Williams is certainly noteworthy.
Free agent CB Rasul Douglas is visiting the Seahawks on Tuesday.
It’s been a slow offseason for the veteran corner after a rough year with the Bills where he finished with just a 51.6 PFF coverage grade. The Dolphins have reportedly been in contact with Douglas, but this is the first known visit for him. He’d likely fit as a depth piece in Seattle, perhaps one that pushes Josh Jobe for a starting job outside in a best-case scenario.
Jets signed fourth-round WR Arian Smith to a four-year contract.
The good news for Smith is that he has a lot of depth chart runway. Garrett Wilson is the obvious No. 1, but neither Josh Reynolds nor Allen Lazard qualifies as a locked-in WR2 at this stage of their careers. Smith’s blazing speed has intrigued Aaron Glenn, who noted how fast he was in rookie minicamp over the weekend by simply noting “Arian has some juice.” The tough news is that as long as Justin Fields is the starter, it’s hard to believe he’ll be seeing many deep shots that aren’t schemed wide open. Still, Smith has some appeal in deeper leagues and could make an interesting dynasty stash.
Jaguars coach Liam Coen said seventh-round RB LeQuint Allen can “play a little bit of slot.”
“Obviously, he had 1,000 yards over the last two years, and then he can catch the ball out of the back field. Good in the screen game. Competitor, man,” Coen continued. As last year taught us, anyone involved in a Liam Coen screen game can be a fantasy factor. It’s probably a little too early to get excited about Allen — and Allen is behind Bhayshul Tuten in the Jacksonville running back pecking order — but Coen’s vision of how he wants to use Allen is noteworthy for fantasy leagues.
