Is there anything better than seeing the email come through from MonkeyKnifeFight after you’ve won a contest? Last week I got three of those emails, as all three of my picks cashed. Drew Brees and Kirk Cousins both came in under their projections, allowing me to triple my money, while Dalvin Cook , Alvin Kamara , Julian Edelman and Derrick Henry all scored touchdowns. This week looks like it may be harder to predict, but we will try to keep the good times rolling with our Divisional Round picks.
Touchdown Dance
Derrick Henry , Mark Ingram and Mark Andrews Over 1.5 touchdowns
These three combined for 43 touchdowns during the regular season, and Henry scored the Titans only offensive touchdown in the Wild Card game. Andrews and Ingram have combined for at least two touchdowns in six of their last seven games, so I feel pretty confident in this call.
Touchdown Dance
Aaron Jones , Davante Adams and Marshawn Lynch Over 1.5 touchdowns
I feel like I have to include Aaron Jones and Davante Adams , considering they combined for 29 touchdowns even with Adams missing four games. Adams has five touchdowns in six games since the bye, and even though they kept Josh McCown out of the end zone, I’m not afraid of Seattle’s defense. You could certainly make a case for D.K. Metcalf or Tyler Lockett over Lynch, but Seattle’s running backs have 17 touchdowns this season, and Lynch has a TD in each of his two games since returning to Seattle. He is reportedly going to get more work in this game, so I feel pretty good about his chances at another touchdown. I’m really tempted to go for 2.5 or even 3.5 touchdowns in this contest, but I also want to keep my winning streak intact.
Fantasy Challenge
DeAndre Hopkins , Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce over 55.5 fantasy points
You pretty much have to take Hopkins as your Texan, though I don’t think anyone would be shocked if Will Fuller played and had a huge game. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are pretty obvious choices too, but they lead the Chiefs in fantasy points by a pretty healthy margin, and I do not trust Houston’s secondary to slow them down at all. I wouldn’t blame anyone who wanted to play Damien Williams , but I don’t trust him despite having 16+ touches in each of his last two games.
