NFL DFS Week 9 Dart Board: Top Value Picks For DraftKings & FanDuel

Published: Nov 03, 2024
Week 9 of the NFL season is here which means it's time for another Fantasy Alarm NFL DFS Dart Board, this time for Week 9 as we look to add some high upside GPP plays that didn't end up making into this week's NFL DFS Playbook.
The Week 8 NFL DFS Dart Board was a smash with Bo Nix as the top dart board QB having himself a break out week against the Carolina Panthers.
We will look towards our NFL DFS Week 9 Dart Board for similar and hopefully more success so we can cash those GPP lineups with some top value DFS picks.
NFL DFS Week 9 Dart Board Preview
Week 9 of the NFL season is always an interesting week because we are now trying to figure out which Week 8 performances we can trust and which Week 8 performances we can't.
For the dart board and top value DFS picks, that can be especially difficult because we are looking for those low rostered, and sometimes cheap home run hitters than can be put into our GPP lineups and help us differentiate from the masses while also having a chance to put up a big score.
Make sure you check out this week's NFL DFS Show below as Howard Bender, and I take a deeper dive into the slate as we take a position by position look which includes a few callouts that will be in this NFL DFS Week 9 Dart Board.
Top Value DFS Picks - Week 9: DraftKings & FanDuel

Pos (Click to sort ascending) | Player (Click to sort ascending) | Matchup (Click to sort ascending) | DK (Click to sort ascending) | FD (Click to sort ascending) |
---|---|---|---|---|
QB | Bryce Young | NO @ CAR Sun 1:00 | 4400 | 6500 |
The price here is the point we need to focus on because $4,400 on DK and $6,500 on FD for a starting QB is just too cheap. If he gives us the same 15 fantasy points we got last week then this is a home run and the Saints defense is dealing with injuries and the Panthers being at home are all working in his favor. Game Type: GPP Weather: Mostly cloudy | ||||
RB | Julius Chestnut | NE @ TEN Sun 1:00 | 4000 | 4500 |
The Titans are already without Tajae Spears and Tony Pollard hasn't practiced all week. If Pollard sits then Chestnut is looking like the Titans starting running back against a bad Patriots run defense this weekend. Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy | ||||
WR | Jermaine Burton | LV @ CIN Sun 1:00 | 3100 | 4900 |
He's the cover of the dart board this week. With Tee Higgins out we saw Burton play a season high 40% of the team's offensive snaps. Burton is a Day 1 draft talent that fell to the third round due to maturity and off the field issues and those issues is what has kept him from the field early in this season. But there is a need to be filled and Burton was likely drafted to be the eventual Tee Higgins replacement. He almost had a touchdown catch last week to go along with his 41-yard reception but ended up not being able to complete the catch. This kid is talented and if he sees an increased snap share this week he has the potential to smash. Game Type: GPP Weather: Mostly sunny | ||||
WR | Mason Tipton | NO @ CAR Sun 1:00 | 4000 | 5400 |
Tipton is seeing 70% of the offensive snap share and with Derek Carr back he will finally have a good QB to throw him the football. Most of the defensive focus here by Carolina is going to be on Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara which will allow for Tipton to get the softer coverage and the opportunities to make plays. Game Type: GPP Weather: Mostly cloudy | ||||
WR | Kayshon Boutte | NE @ TEN Sun 1:00 | 3700 | 4800 |
Three straight weeks of 80% snap share for Boutte can no go ignored. Talent has not been the problem with Boutte and if you don't know much about his backstory I suggest you go check him out but he was a highly recruited WR that was on a loaded LSU team. Injuries derailed him a bit and his draft stock fell but he was considered a high upside pick by New England when taken in the sixth round last season. With Drake Maye clearing concussion protocol I'm certainly intrigued here. Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy | ||||
TE | AJ Barner | LA @ SEA Sun 4:25 | 2600 | 4500 |
We were all geared up for Noah Fant this week and then he suffered an injury on Friday that is going to keep him out of this game. In steps rookie fourth rounder AJ Barner who saw 40% of the offensive snaps last week and had two catches for 34 yards. He is not profiling as a pass catching tight end but by default he should see an increased workload and he is $100 above min-price on DraftKings. With the opportunity and the price point he will only need a few catches to hit value. Game Type: GPP Weather: Mostly sunny |
