NBA DFS Playbook November 29: Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry Face off Tonight

The tough debate of the night is if you are going to play Stephen Curry or Luka tonight as they square off against one another in the Bay. Luka has just been incredible this season and is probably leading the MVP race. He is posting a line of 33/8/8, which is just absurd. Luka is behind only Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid in usage rate. Of course, Luka is great play tonight, it's just a matter if you want to pay up or not.

The price difference between Curry and Luka is swaying me towards Curry in this matchup. They both have similar ceilings however Luka has a better chance of hitting his because he has the ball in his hands so much. Steph has been great lately scoring at least 44 fantasy points in five of his last games including two games in the 70s. I slightly lean Steph over Luka in this one.

Then, here is the tier drop at point guard tonight. No disrespect to Jalen Brunson, he just is not on the level of Luka and Steph. However, he does have a great matchup against the Pistons. The Pistons have the second lowest defensive efficiency in the NBA. The Knicks aren't much better having the eighth worst, so we could see a ton of points scored in this matchup. Look for Brunson to be really good in this one, he has scored at least 45 fantasy points in each of his last three games, and I expect that to continue in this one.

Reggie Jackson deserves to be in your lineup tonight with John Wall not being available tonight. Jackson has played 30 minutes in 11 games this season and has scored over 20 fantasy points in 10 of them. Jackson is a very safe play in this matchup against Portland. We just need his shot to fall, because the volume will be there.

This one is really just on DraftKings as Burks is just slightly priced over 5K. Burks has scored over 20 fantasy points in six straight games. We have Bojan Bogdanovic and Jaden Ivey both coming into this one questionable, so we could see Burks get extra run tonight, in a high scoring affair.

Simons is a great play like he usually is without Dame in the lineup. He has a clunker in his last one only scoring 28 fantasy points on 14 shots. Simons has only shot fewer than 16 times one other game this season. Look for the volume to increase tonight, and he will be a solid play.

Maybe Klay is starting to put all together after a slow start to the season. Klay has played over 30 minutes in four of his last five games and scored over 28 fantasy points in each one of those four games. Over Klay's last five games he is shooting 56% from three on 50 attempts. Let's ride the hot hand tonight.

With no Paul George or Kawhi Leonard I expect Tereance Mann to start once again tonight. He has played at least 30 minutes in his last three games and scored over 28 fantasy points. He is underpriced on DraftKings. Very solid play tonight.

It had looked like Cam Reddish had worked his way into coach Thibs good graces, and then he gets hurt. Before his injury he played at least 33 minutes in three straight games. He came back and played 24 in their last game. Let's hope we see him get back in the 30s in this one. If he does, he should score 25+ fantasy points

I don't really love the play of Jordan Poole tonight. He is only averaging 25 minutes over his last six games and scoring 27 fantasy points per game. With only a few hundred dollars separating him and Klay, I would rather just play up for Klay. 

Bogdanovic is questionable heading in this one and he did miss the last game. But if he suits up in this one, he is a solid play, more so on FanDuel. Bogdanovic leads this Pistons team in scoring, and there is reason to think that won't be the case tonight, in a good matchup against the Knicks.

I'm not sure Andrew Wiggins gets the recognition he deserves even after being the second-best player on a championship team last season. It seems like a misprice only having him at $6,800 on DraftKings when he is averaging 34 fantasy points per game. Plug Wiggins into your lineup and feel great about it.

RJ Barrett has just been on fire over his past three games scoring at least 36 fantasy points in each. Barrett is the most important two-way player on this team, and it shows with him averaging 37 minutes over his last five games. No reason to believe that won't continue in this one outside of a blowout.

Justise Winslow is a must-play on both sites tonight with him starting in place of the injured Damian Lillard. In his last two games he has played 37 and 46 minutes. He has scored 26 and 21 fantasy points in each of those games. With him getting this much opportunity and being priced so low how do you not get him in your lineup?

Quentin Grimes has become a solid rotational piece for the Knicks over his past four games. He has played at least 26 minutes in each and scored at least 15.5 fantasy points in each one. He is not just scoring either, we saw him collect eight assists one game, and grab five rebounds in three of those games.

Say what you want about Julius Randle, but he plays a ton of minutes and plays extremely hard. Randle posted a near triple double in his last game coming up just one assist shy. He has scored five times his salary in his past three games. It is a good matchup for Randle, but I think I would rather pay up at other positions.

With Lillard being out, and Simmons struggling a bit the last few games, Grant has played really well. Grant has played at least 40 minutes in each of his last two games and taken at least 20 shots in each. We even saw him drop a 44 piece. Grant is the better play over Randle tonight in a game that could go to the wire.

Draymond has really turned it on over the past five games after struggling to begin the season. Posting a line of 11/8/5 and 34 fantasy points per game during that span. Green has a soild floor tonight in a game that should be close. Grant is the ceiling play.

Livers has dart-throw potential tonight. He has started the past two games for an injured Pistons team. He hasn't done anything special just scoring 17 and 12 fantasy points. Bagley and Bogdanovic are questionable heading into this one. So, it's something to keep an eye on.

I do not love Batum any night, but he is just so cheap on DraftKings tonight. He has played 24 minutes in each of his last games with George and Kawhi out. If you paid up for Luka and need to save money somewhere, Batum could be a decent play tonight and maybe get you 20 fantasy points.

Not many big names at the center position on tonight's slate but Jusuf Nurkic is the highest priced on the slate on DraftKings. He has played well over his past two games doing a bit of everything for this Blazers team and averaging 42.5 fantasy points. It really is coin flip who is the better option tonight at center, him or Ivica Zubac.

Zubac had one of the best games we have seen a center play in recent years. He was one rebound away from having a 30 point and 30 rebound night for 76 fantasy points. If you want to chase that ceiling tonight, I get it, just know that he scored 16 fantasy points in the two games prior to his big one.

If only we could make Jason Kidd not hate Christian Wood he would be a play every night. When Wood plays 25 minutes or higher in a game he has scored at least 20 fantasy points in each game, including three games over 40 fantasy points. I'm not sure this is the best matchup for Wood in this one either, with the Warriors liking to play small.

Marvin Bagley is questionable heading into this one. But boy has he been good when he is on the floor. Over his past three games, he has scored 33, 35, and 44 fantasy points. Unfortunately, that made his price jump $1,200 on DraftKings. With Stewart most likely back in this one, I'm not sure Bagley is the play.

Kleber intrigues me in this one because of the matchup. We could see Kleber play the five at times tonight with the Warriors liking to play small. Kleber has been solid over his last two games as well scoring 22 and 18 fantasy points. Kleber could see 25+ minutes tonight, which makes him a dart throw option on this small slate.
