Now that the NBA trade deadline has passed us by, we can look at the teams who have made noticeable changes to their roster. There are some teams who just dumped a lot of talent and they are just trying to make it to the end of the season even with a depleted roster. These teams - like the Knicks and Bulls - will have a lot of space for lesser-known players to get more minutes. Look at the teams that gave up the most players. The Raptors are an exception because they are a very deep team.

Kenrich Williams SF NO-31% Ownership: With Nikola Mirotic off the team, there are open minutes and Williams has played 30-plus minutes in his last seven games. He’s often used as a bailout option from the arc on offense, but he follows his own shots and is able to take advantage inside the arc as well. He just posted a double-double and he grabbed six or more rebounds in his last seven games. Williams will have competition for minutes as E’Twaun Moore will look to keep his spot in the rotation. Williams defense and hustle have kept him in the Pelicans rotation. Williams has blocked shots in six of his last seven games. Williams often will take a dribble even when open and his hesitation allows another teammate to cut to the basket. He will help with assists to a much lesser extent.

Jake Layman PF POR-13% Ownership: Layman is further proof that hustle will eventually get rewarded and he’s been a lot more productive over the last few games. Layman has been seeing a lot more minutes and it’s not uncommon to see him cross the 30-minute mark. He’s a stretch-four who will look to attack the rim. His aggressiveness on the boards has improved and his stats reflect it. He’s been producing a lot more five-plus rebound games and he’s even grabbed steals in three of his last five games. Layman can also help out at SF when the Blazers want to go big. His scoring has also improved as he’s hit double figures in four of his last five games and two of those games being 20-plus points. Layman is clearly taking more shots and he continues to pick up shots. Consider him a short-term solution for now, but he can continue to get significant minutes down the stretch as the Blazers haven’t really been able to find the right fit at small forward.

Mitchell Robinson C NY-23% Ownership: Even though his minutes aren’t consistent at the moment, look at Robinson as a long-term investment as the Knicks are heading right to the lottery as one of the worst team’s in the league. He’ll see minutes behind DeAndre Jordan . As the season continues, Jordan will be serving more as a mentor to Robinson. Even without a consistent 20-minute ticket, Robinson has been a volume producer. He leads all rookies in blocks per game and he’s had three straight multi-block games. Robinson is an inside specific center who will produce specifically from the low block. He’s added more post moves throughout the season, but he’s mainly a dunker and a scorer off of put-backs. He’s scored in double figures in his last three games. Robinson’s defense is better than his offense. He’s grabbed six or more rebounds in his last three games.

Cody Zeller PF, C CHA-18% Ownership: Starters have a lot of control over their destiny when it comes to playing time and since returning from injury, Zeller has been productive. His value was threatened when it was rumored that Marc Gasol was being traded to Charlotte, but now that he’s a Raptor, Zeller will continue to see the most minutes of the Hornets centers. Expect his minutes to grow as he continues shaking the rust from being on the shelf. He’s grabbed double-digit boards and blocked shots in two of his last three games. Zeller will score from under the basket and he’s not afraid of drawing contact. He’ll also fight for loose balls and has grabbed steals in his last three games. Marvin Williams is the prioritized big man when it comes to scoring in Charlotte, but, Zeller will stick in the rotation and he’ll fed in the paint.

Monte Morris PG DEN-34% Ownership: This could be the end of the line for now when it comes to Morris production so view this as a short-term solution. Morris has proven that he turn up the pace of the Nuggets offense coming off of the bench and both Jamal Murray and Gary Harris haven’t been the healthiest this year. Prior to his last dud of a game he had scored in double figures in five straight games and he was even helpful on the glass. He’s compiled at least five boards and a steal in four of his last six games. His defense efforts should keep him involved. The Nuggets have a decision to make in regards to who they want to be the back up point guard because Will Barton is capable of running the point. Morris has also dished 3.9 assists per game this season. He’s done enough to stay involved, but remember, the Nuggets are a deep team. If you see another few games with him playing under 20 minutes, set him free and keep him on your watch list.

Thomas Bryant C WSH-37% Ownership: Until Dwight Howard returns, Bryant will still be involved in the Wizards rotation. He’ll provide a good amount of scoring help as he’s hit double figures in his last three games. He’ll mainly score in the paint, but he can stretch the floor by hitting three’s. Bobby Portis will see a good amount of minutes at center, but Bryant should still see close to 20 minutes in most of his games. Bryant will help out with inside defense and he blocked shots in his last six games. Depending on where the Wizards are in the standings by the time Dwight Howard is nearing a return, they may decide to keep him out for the rest of the season and that will help Bryant’s value. Bobby Portis will be Bryant’s biggest competition for minutes and he’s playing for a big contract in the offseason and he’ll be motivated as ever. If Bryant’s minutes don’t rise and his production starts to fall off, free him.

Bryn Forbes PG SAS-21% Ownership: Forbes production has exploded lately as he’s taken advantage of extra playing time with Derrick White still injured. Forbes has been seeing steady minutes in the 20’s and 30’s and he’s been a double-digit scorer in his last 10 games. Forbes can hit three’s but he’s mainly a driver who isn’t afraid to take contact. A lot of point guards don’t like to fight against big men inside, but Forbes, is always down to battle to keep plays alive. He’s grabbed 2.9 boards per game and steals in two of his last four games. In recent games, Forbes has been given a bigger piece of the offensive pie in San Antonio. He’s taken double-digit shots in three of his last four games. He’s a good facilitator and he has good speed and is often able to get to the basket and even when White returns, he’ll be able to stick in the rotation.

Ivica Zubac C LAC-35% Ownership: Zubac goes from one Los Angeles team to another and with the trades of Tobias Harris and Mike Muscala and the release of Marcin Gortat , Zubac should be featured in the Clippers rotation. In his debut game for the Clippers, he played 23 minutes and put up 12 points and grabbed 9 boards and 3 blocks. He should be given playing time in the mid to late-20’s moving forward. His main competition for minutes will be JaMychal Green and Montrezl Harrell , but the good news is that there are two positions that need filling. Wilson Chandler will see some minutes at PF and Jonathan Motley can also find himself involved in the rotation. Zubac compliments Harrell nicely because Harrell is more of an inside banger and Zubac will help stretch the floor and he can hit long-range jumpers.

Ivan Rabb PF MEM-28% Ownership: With both Marc Gasol and JaMychal Green traded Rabb should continue to see games in the 20’s and 30’s. The Grizzlies coaches love him and they want to continue featuring Rabb by giving him starts. He scored in double figures in five of his last six games and he’ll mainly serve as an inside scorer and he’s a good compliment to Jaren Jackson Jr. because Jackson loves shooting from the outside and Rabb will do the dirty work under the rim. Rabb grabbed double-digit rebounds in two of his last five games. He also grabbed steals and blocks in two of his last three games. Look to pick up him up for mainly scoring and rebounding. Joakim Noah shouldn’t impact his minutes much. The Grizzlies don’t have a lot of consistent scorers on offense and Rabb’s role can grow down the stretch.

WILDCARD PICK UP: Wayne Selden Jr. SG CHI-2% Ownership: Selden has been seeing a lot of minutes and with the Bulls heading to the lottery, he should see a bigger role down the stretch. Selden has produced double-digit scoring games in three of his last five games. He’ll score from mid and long-range and he’ll even fight for boards against smaller teams he faces in the paint. He’ll mainly serve as a bailout option once he sets the entry screen.  He’s hit multiple three-pointers in two of his last three games. The Bulls don’t have a lot of depth at small forward and he’ll see additional minutes at the position. He’ll also benefit when Zach LaVine shifts to the point. If you need the scoring boost, look at adding Selden. The minutes are very safe and he’ll help out a bit with steals too.
