DRAFTKINGS
K.J. Martin Jr., PF HOU ($6,200)
Kelly Olynyk could be back tonight, but Christian Wood is unlikely to play and Martin will continue be a big part of the offense. The Rockets only used eight players in their last game. Martin has played 44, 39 and 39 minutes in the last three games and had 50, 47.25 and 50 DK points. He has double-doubles in two of the games and Portland is 29th in defensive efficiency.
Danilo Gallinari , SF ATL ($4,800)
Gallinari has played well the last three games and gets a good matchup against the Wizards, who are first in pace and allow 118.7 points per game. Gallinari is averaging 19.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and three assists over the last three games and had 50.5, 30.25 and 37.25 DK points.
Jaxson Hayes , C NO ($4,500)
Hayes has seen an increase in playing time with the Pelicans missing players. Steven Adams is doubtful for tonight and Hayes will benefit. He has played at least 24 minutes in the last three games. He had 18 points, eight rebounds, six blocks and one steal for 42 DK points last night against the Hornets. He had 41 DK points on Friday against the 76ers. The Grizzlies and Pelicans are top 10 in pace.
FANDUEL
Eric Bledsoe , SG NO ($5,700)
With the Pelicans short-handed, Bledsoe has to do more on offense. Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram will sit again. Bledsoe has taken 37 shots from the field over the last two games. Last night, he had 24 points, 11 assists, four rebounds, three three-pointers and two steals for 50.3 FD points against the Hornets.
James Johnson , PF NO ($4,400)
Johnson has played well when Zion Williamson is out. Johnson played 30 minutes last night against the Hornets and had 17 points, eight rebounds and three steals for 33.6 FD points. He has at least 20 FD points in three straight games. In five games without Williamson, Johnson is averaging 15.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.4 steals.
D.J. Augustin , PG HOU ($4,000)
The Rockets injury news will be key. Christian Wood and Kelly Olynyk sitting could open up more value, but Augustin is likely to start and play minutes. In his first game back from injury on Friday, he played 28 minutes and had 17 points, five assists and two rebounds for 23.9 FD points. He only played 18 minutes the next night, but he was limited due to the back-to-back.
Player News
Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters Stephen Curry is day-to-day with a hamstring injury and will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.
Kerr relayed that Curry was “crushed” after being forced from the game due to injury. While Kerr described Curry as day-to-day, he also mentioned that the 37-year-old point guard will undergo imaging on Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury. There should be an update on his status at some point prior to Thursday’s Game 2 showdown. With the Warriors taking Game 1 on the road Tuesday, Kerr added that it’s hard to imagine Curry being available for Game 2 on Thursday. With Game 3 Saturday at Golden State, Curry could have more time to rest and recover.
Naz Reid had 19 points (8-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in Game 1 against the Warriors on Tuesday.
Reid briefly left the floor with an apparent leg injury towards the end of the second quarter before returning in the second half. The 25-year-old center played 34 minutes and was the second leading scorer for the Timberwolves in what turned out to be a lackluster game for Minnesota. Reid appeared healthy in the second half and should continue to be counted on for starter-level minutes despite coming off the bench.
Anthony Edwards had 23 points (9-of-22 FGs), 14 rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and one three-pointer in Game 1 against the Warriors on Tuesday.
Draymond Green had 18 points (6-of-13 FGs), eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and four three-pointers in Game 1 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Buddy Hield had 24 points (7-of-19 FGs), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Game 1 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Jimmy Butler had 20 points (7-of-20 FGs), 11 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two three-pointers in the Warriors’ 99-88 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 1 on Tuesday.
