What is up, FANation?! Back for another edition of the Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault! It is Saturday, December 28th, and we have a massive 13-game slate on tap for tonight. While there is tons of value already on this slate, you will need as much as you can get to be able to plug those studs, so let's see where we are at so far...
DRAFTKINGS
1.) Julius Randle (NYK- $7,200)- Randle is just too cheap over on DK tonight. He gets a more than generous match-up with the Wiz tonight, who are allowing the 2nd most FPs to opposing PFs over the course of their last five contests. Randle has also been great over his last few games, going for 47.5 and 50.8 DK points over his last two. He has scored over 30 real points in those two as well, and has seemed to somewhat "turn a corner" here with the new coach. He's the go-to scorer now, and he has taken 17, 21, and 26 FGAs over his last three. Not only have the FGAs have gone up, Randle has also played 32 or more minutes in his last three as well, while carrying a hefty 29.0% usage rate (team-leading) over his last five games overall. Love Randle in this pace-up spot against a bad D tonight.
2.) Jarrett Allen (BRKN - $6,100)- This is a total gut-play here, but I feel Allen presents a good amount of value on tonight's slate. While everyone is fading the Bigs of Brooklyn, as we so very often do as well, let's zag a bit tonight with Allen. Allen's price is fair, he has put up over 40 fantasy points in his last two road games. When looking at his scope of road travels in his last eight or so, he has topped 35 fantasy points in all but one, while securing a double-double in every single one as well. His minutes have been shaky lately, but it seems he has been getting good run on the road, and he is in a fast-pace setting here, AND the Rockets are without starting Center Clint Capela . I am a fan.
3.) Larry Nance (CLE - $3,800)- One of the few free squares that are already out on the slate today, but an essential one. It was already deemed that starting PF Kevin Love will be sitting tonight's tilt with the T-Wolves on the side-lines. So, we have to presume that Nance will claim yet another spot-start here for Love. This is also a really nice pace-up spot for the Cavs, as the Wolves have ran with top-12 pace all season long. Nance should be in line for a really solid night, as it is still uncertain if Karl Anthony-Towns will play or not for the Wolves tonight. Nance has shown really nice flashes as well in these situations, as he has multiple 30+ FP games in spot-starts, at this price, you just have to plug.
FANDUEL
1.) Brook Lopez (MIL - $4,900)- With BroLo only seeing a mere 23-minutes in last night's blow-out over the Hawks, I would seem to believe that he should see his usual run tonight against the Magic. BroLo sees a pretty hefty 6.8% usage bump without Giannis on the floor, good for 3rd best on the team, behind number one Middleton, and number two Bledsoe, and well, Bledsoe is still out. This is once again a really nice value spot for Lopez. He is literally the cheapest priced Center on FanDuel, and has put up 35 or more FD points in four of his last five games, and put up 35.9 last night in just 23 minutes. This is just too good of a price over on FD (and DK to be honest) to pass up tonight. He has 35+ point upside if given 28+ mins.
2.) Isaiah Thomas (WAS - $4,800)- With the Wiz hurting at multiple positions, and IT coming back off a 2-game suspension, I feel that he could really fly under-the-radar here tonight against the Knicks. We need to remember who will be likely defending on the flip-side, and that is Elfrid Payton , who literally plays no D. In the event that Brad Beal happens to sit, this could mean obvious usage bump for IT here at the starting PG spot in a nice match-up. Thomas has seen at least 25 or more mins in his last four games (when playing), and has eclipsed 25 FD points in two of the four. We could like see IT playing some heavier mins tonight if Beal happens to not go, so take the cheap price if you need to pay down at the PG spot.
3.) Ersan Ilyasova (MIL - $4,100)- Ersan will like be mega-chalk once again tonight, as it has already been reported that Giannis will be ruled out. In last night's game against the Hawks, Ersan notched out 39.4 FD points in just 24 short minutes with a 18 point, 17 rebound, and one block line. It is a slower-paced match here with the Magic tonight, but at this price, it is once again hard to pass up with the minutes, and usage that we know will left to devour. Ersan is another one of the few must-plugs that you will just have to play as free squares in your lineups tonight.
