Welcome back to the Monday, August 3rd, edition of the Fantasy Alarm Value Vault! Hopefully you guys have enjoyed the NBA restart as much as we have and are excited about another five-game slate on tap to kick-off the week! Let’s see what kind of value is out there for this slate!

DRAFTKINGS

1.) Ja Morant ($7,300) – Morant continues to be underpriced once again today, as his price really hasn’t moved much after back-to-back 47 and 48 DK fantasy point performances in the Grizzlies first two games back from the restart. Morant has scored at least 22 or more actual, dished at least nine or more dimes, while averaging nearly seven rebounds of this span as well, and guess what? He gets one of the worst fantasy point PG defending teams in the league with the Pelicans tonight. Not to mention that both of these teams sit well within the top ten in the league in terms of PACE, so we know this game will have a great flow to it as well, this only helps Morant’s fantasy value here tonight. Get him in.

2.) Steven Adams ($5,400) – This is just a silly price on Adams over on DraftKings and I will more than likely have quite a bit of him, as he is well underpriced and much more affordable here than on FD where he is $6.4K. Adams put up 16 actual, with 11 boards, two dimes, and two blocks stat-line in the OKC opener against Rudy Gobert and the Jazz, which was good for 36.3 DraftKings fantasy points. This was all accrued in just 28 minutes on the court as well, as the Thunder ran away with the game in the second half. Tonight, he faces off against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, in which I need to remind you what happened in the prior matchup between these two earlier in the season. Adams notched out 19 points, 17 rebounds, two dimes, two blocks, and four steals in route to a 56.8 DK fantast point performance.

3.) Dion Waiters ($3,100) – Waiters isn’t going to wow you with his performances off the bench for the Lakers, however, he will provide your fantasy roster with a nice, solid floor as he has done so far in the first two games for the Lakers of the restart. Waiters has seen 21 and 22 minutes on the floor in both games, while also putting up 21.3 and 20.3 DK fantasy points in those two as well. If want to do the math, he is averaging near a 7x return on his price-tag for those two games. It is also worth noting that Waiters is averaging the third highest usage rate for the Lakers over that span as well at 21.4%, only behind LBJ and Anthony Davis . I will have some Waiters at this price.

FANDUEL

1.) Joe Ingles ($5,100) – One spot that the Lakers tend to allow good fantasy point efforts to is the small forward spot. This is the spot that is being filled by Ingles with the void left by Bojan Bogdanovic after his surgery kept him out of the restart. To put this into context, the Lakers just allowed OG Anuoby to score 23 actual on 8-of-9 shooting, with 3-3 from 3-point land, with four rebounds, one assist, and two steals, which was good for 35 FD points. Ingles and OG literally have a similar game, they shoot the three-ball well, and one thing that Ingles does a bit better than OG is assist totals, where OG likely has Ingles in the rebound category. However, Ingles is an excellent defender as well, and will likely pad his FD stats with a steal or two and maybe even a block or two. He has secured two steals a piece in both games since the restart. He is playing lots of mins (31 in both games), and he will have ample opportunities to accrue fantasy points in most stats categories. Always have to fear the Jazz likely won’t make this a game against the Lakers, but sometimes the highest risks, come with the highest rewards.

2.) Aaron Holiday ($4,500) – With Victor Oladipo likely to sit on the second leg of a back-to-back, and Malcolm Brogdon ’s status for tonight’s matchup against the Wizards still up in the air as well sitting as a game-time decision, this will more than likely thrust Holiday right back into a heavy minute, high-usage situation once again tonight. In the Pacer’s return game, Dipo played around thirty minutes, but it was not his night to shine, as TJ Warren went nuclear for 53 actual points on the night. I don’t believe I heard one person mention that Holiday, who started and played 34 minutes, had a 15-point, five rebound, 10 assist, and one steal double-double (good for 38 FD fantasy points) on the night as well in their win over the Sixers. Holiday has the upside, and he is much cheaper over on FanDuel tonight.

3.) Kyle Kuzma ($4,500)- Kuzma continues to be very productive off the bench for the Lakers in spell of both AD and LBJ as they stagger their times on the floor. Kuzma has now played 31 and 28 minutes in the games the Lakers have played since the restart. His fantasy production hasn’t been monstrous; however, his price is affordable on both sites, and he has put up 25 or more FD points in both games. As mentioned above, the Jazz have not looked very good in their two games since the restart, and in the event that this one starts to get out of hand late, this could open up more run for Kuzma in garbage time. He is another one of those solid floor/nice ceiling type plays that can help bolster your fantasy roster on certain nights. Don’t mind Kuzma on either site, however, his three-point upside will favor a bit more on DK, but don’t his defense will also help on FD.
