MVP/Captain
Stephen Curry , PG - No shock here right? Curry should have a field day in this matchup with the Pistons running out Delon Wright and Derrick Rose at the guard position. I know that Curry has been a bit inconsistent at times this year but in showdown contests and in this type of matchup you know he is going to be the chalk play and if he has one of them vintage Curry performances and you will likely be sitting out of the money.
Jerami Grant , SF - Grant has been the best player on the Pistons this season and there is no real debate about that. Even though the last two games have been a bit down for him, he has just two games all season with less than 30 fantasy points scored. He is great free throw shooter and can fill the stat sheet as well.
Mason Plumlee , C - Centers have done well against the Warriors this season and Plumlee has double-doubles in three straight games while going for 34 and 36 FP in each of the last two. If looking to spend down this is as far as I would go.
Utility
Andrew Wiggins , SG - Solid lineup play here. Has shown potential for some breakout performances but largely has a floor level of production you can count on which is great for showdown slates as you need those guys that are reliable so you can take some risks with other plays when you spend down.
Wayne Ellington , SG - Ellington has been fantastic for the Pistons this season. He has scored at least 24 FP in seven straight games with a high of 32 fantasy points while playing close to 30-minutes a night.
Derrick Rose , PG - Rose is a high usage player when on the floor and while his role has been diminished to about 20 minutes a night we have still seen some solid scoring performances out of him. A matchup against the Warriors could be a game where the Pistons need a bit of an offensive lift which may put Rose on the floor for some additional minutes.
Delon Wright , PG - Wright has continued to start at point guard and play well. His actual points go up and down but his ability to fill the stat sheet allows him to accumulate the fantasy points you need and it was just a few nights ago where it all came together and he had 50 FP. Stephen Curry does not play much defense so if Wright because a bit more aggressive on offense tonight he will be more than worth it.
Dart Throw
Kelly Oubre , SF - Will Oubre score 40 FP tonight or score 10 FP? Truly nobody knows and that is what has been frustrating about Oubre this season. His boom/bust potential is what makes him a nice play in showdowns because he can literally finish as one of the top scorers on the slate or be the reason you fall out of the money.
James Wiseman, C - Wiseman was moved to the bench two games ago but still saw over 20-minutes the other night in the Warriors blowout win and dominated. This would be a great spot for him to do some damage if he can get 20-to-25 minutes but that uncertainty keeps him locked in as a dart throw play.
