The Kings average 115.9 points per game, and the Pistons average 115.2 points per game, which puts it right at the projected total. Detroit does have a good defense though; they are holding opponents to 113.0 points per game this season. They have also held their last two opponents, the high scoring Memphis Grizzlies, and the Toronto Raptors, to under 110 points.

They both have positional battles within 0.5 games separating them from opponents and will need to play with defense in order to win this match. Should the Pistons win this match by scoring their average points per game, and cover the -7.0 spread, this total would be around 223 points. 76ers vs. Heat Prediction: Team Total Miami Over 113.5 (-110 on DraftKings)

The Miami Heat host the Philadelphia 76ers at the Kaseya Center with a 7:30 PM ET tip off. The Miami Heat are -14.5-point favorites against what has become the worst team in the Association. Philadelphia has lost eleven games in a row, as they do everything they can to stay at 23 wins for the season.

The Heat are one of the most inconsistent teams in the league this season and have currently lost two in a row. A 14.5 point spread seems out of the question, for either the Heat or the 76ers to cover, but one will. It is suggested to avoid taking either, as the 76ers will pull players that are playing well, and the Heat are as unpredictable as the mountain weather.

Instead expect the Heat to cover their team total, which is currently set at 114.5. The Philadelphia 76ers allow 115.8 points per game and have allowed opponents to score 115 or more points in nine of their last eleven losses.

The Heat have scored over 114.5 in six of their last eight matches. The recent data suggest the team total is the correct betting angle. Although Duren has played well in his last four games, he has recorded under 11.5 rebounds in five of his last nine games. Sabonis is a maestro at rebounding, he utilizes intelligence, size, positioning, depth of the field goal attempt, and almost always finds a body to box out. 

A person doesn’t fluke their way to a rebounding title, perhaps they are a center on a team with great perimeter defense and taken advantage of several missed field goals. That is not the case with Sabonis, he is the son of one of the best centers of his era, a knowledge of the game that most do not possess, and the most important metric… Effort. 

Duren takes plays off and can be replaced by teammate Isaiah Stewart for an extended period of time. He could get in foul trouble dealing with a more powerful and bigger Sabonis too.
