NBA Best Bets Today, 3/28: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Friday

Josh ballin’ Giddey!!! What a finish to the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls game yesterday. There were four lead changes with under seven seconds remaining in the game. The Los Angeles Lakers fell victim to The Law of Averages.
With three seconds remaining Giddey passes the ball in, gets it back, dribbles to half court with LeBron James (who had the tip-in buzzer beater two days ago) guarding him, and sinks a true buzzer beater from down under. The electrifying basket ensured the double unit bet of the night was successful and gave NBA best bets a positive return on investment.
The Portland Trail Blazers lost to the Sacramento Kings by 21 points, nowhere near the +6.0 spread, and Anthony Davis played 29 minutes but could not earn nine rebounds. Giddey’s half court sinker earned +0.84 units yesterday and we look to stack more today.
NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 3/28
There are seven matches across the Association, and all but one are expected blowouts.
The first of our NBA best bets today comes from Brooklyn.
Clippers vs. Nets Prediction: Total O214.5 (-110 on Bet365) *BET OF THE NIGHT
The Los Angeles Clippers have an extended stay in New York and play the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. The Clippers just mopped the court with the New York Knicks and the expectation is the same with a -12.5 spread against the home team. Double digit spreads are almost always a risk, instead the total of this match is suggested.
214.5 is the lowest projected total of today, and most of it is due to the Nets lack of offense. They average just 105.0 points per game, which is the second lowest total in the Association. Only the Orlando Magic average less with 104.9 per game. The Los Angeles Clippers earn 112.0 points per game, and as long as both teams score their average this prediction will be successful.
However, the Clippers offense is better now than it was in the beginning of the season. Their scoring has been far above average, and in their last eight games they have scored; 126, 101, 128, 132, 123, 121, 119, 127. The one game they did not score 7 or more points above their average was against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Should they keep the pace of somewhere in the 120-range tonight, the Nets would not need to score 100 points. The Clippers are in a tough Western Conference battle, tied with the Golden State Warriors for sixth, and only 0.5 games ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Look for them to bring the energy and be carried by their great starting lineup. Put a unit for the game to go over 214.5 total points.
Hornets vs. Raptors Prediction: Mark Williams 11+ Rebounds (+115 on DraftKings)
A bottom of the barrel Eastern Conference match is in play today as the Toronto Raptors host the Charlotte Hornets at ScotiaBank Arena. Toronto is not technically eliminated but they are not going to reach the play-in, and that ship sailed for the Hornets well before the All-Star break.
There are some bright spots on the horizon for both franchises, and some players that have treated our column for NBA best bets well. One of them is Mark Williams. He has been a player targeted by Fantasy Alarm before his trade fiasco and has delivered as an excellent rebounder. Williams is averaging 10.1 rebounds per game this season, and his original rebounding line is set at 9.5 with heavy juice on the over.
Instead of taking the juice, take the 11+ rebounds on the alternate line. Williams has covered this proposition in four of his last seven matches and has a great opportunity against a team in clear tank mode. Although Jakob Poeltl and Scottie Barnes are great rebounders, Williams will be the best rebounder on the court and will have height and length against the Raptors.
Toronto allows the third most rebounds per game to opposing teams, with an average of 53.5 per game. Their average over their last three games has been 55.7 rebounds allowed, and that trend could continue tonight. Put a unit on the big man to come through on the alternate, plus odds portion of our NBA best bets today.

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 3/28
The last of our NBA best bets today comes on a player that is considered a journeyman.
It is also a double unit wager.
Warriors vs. Pelicans Prediction: Kelly Olynyk O6.5 Rebounds (+115 on Bet365) *2.0 U
Kelly Olynyk is currently on the New Orleans Pelicans as he was involved with the trade that sent Brandon Ingram to the Raptors. He has been playing several minutes for the depleted Pelicans and has delivered with impactful minutes.
The Golden State Warriors come to the Smoothie King Center in need of a win in order to avoid slipping out of the playoffs. The Pelicans are +14.5 underdogs at home, which seems questionable. Olynyk has played 22 or more minutes in his last eight matches, and 30 or more in four of his last seven matches. The volume of minutes is there, and Golden State is just below average in rebounds allowed per game, with 52.5.
Olynyk was brought in in part due to his health, and in part due to his rebounding. He has recorded over 6.5 rebounds just once in his last five matches, but it was his most recent game. He is 6’ 10” and will have height over the Warriors starting five players.
This is a good opportunity to take yet another plus odds wager for NBA best bets today on a player that is playing well and has a size advantage over his opponents. Put two units on Olynyk to earn his average of 6.5 rebounds today against the Warriors at Bet365. If you are a new customer, take advantage of the promotional offer below.
