NBA Best Bets Today, 2/13: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Thursday

The mess created in the Fantasy Alarm Betting Bungalow is swept clean. Hard work does pay off, and there are fewer sweeter experiences in life than sticking it to the sportsbooks in a broom swept, clean bungalow. Three of three with yesterday’s NBA best bets, and it was about time.
Stephon Castle, Nic Claxton, and Trae Young all cleared their propositions in the fourth quarter. Were it not for Jamal Murray having a career-high 55 points, our King of the Court wager on Trae Young would have brought in at minimum a four-figure free wager. Close is the outcome of most betting experiences, and we will proudly hold our head high on a three-for-three night.
NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 2/13
We have won five of our last six wagers and the goal is to get it to eight. It is the last day of games before the All-Star break, and Fantasy Alarm NBA best bets will have you covered for wagers for the All-Star matches and competition.
Eight teams are playing the second of back-to-back games, and several players already have their vacation planes booked. The NBA best bets ‘Bet of the Night’ comes from a nationally televised match on TNT.
Thunder vs. Timberwolves Prediction: Rudy Gobert Under 10.5 Rebounds (-105 on Bet365) *Bet of the Night
The Minnesota Timberwolves were in a neighboring state battle with the Milwaukee Bucks, and they fell just short, losing 103-101. They gave a lot of effort in that match, and it will likely affect their performance tonight.
Granted the Oklahoma City Thunder also played last night and had to travel, but they won by their average margin of 14 points. The Miami Heat only scored eight points in the fourth quarter, as the Thunder took care of business down the stretch.
Rudy Gobert played 38 minutes and although he’s a peak athlete, he’s also an older veteran. Twelfth year players do not always have the best back-to-back performances. Granted, Oklahoma City is a terrible rebounding team statistically, but is that a misleading statistic?
The Thunder have Isaiah Hartenstein, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams healthy for the first week of the season. Holmgren is expected to play his third game since returning from injury as he is eased back into a full workload. Those are three big, lanky, rebounders that could give Gobert fits throughout the match. Gobert could play on restricted minutes, or just be tired and sloppy with foul trouble. Put a unit for Gobert to go under on his second of back-to-back matches.
Clippers vs. Jazz Prediction: Ivica Zubac Under 13.5 Rebounds (-115 on Bet365)
We are living in the land down under today, and although the NBA is filled with great Australian basketball players, we are talking about the propositions. The second under is on another fantastic rebounder, Ivica Zubac.
The Los Angeles Clippers played the latest match of the day yesterday, a 14-point upset over the Memphis Grizzlies. They then flew to Salt Lake City with a cold front blowing in. If the long night doesn’t get to Zubac, the high elevation will.
The Clippers could be without players tonight but Zubac is expected to go. He is having an All-Star level year, but it’s difficult to outshine Nikola Jokic and Anthony Davis. His 12.7 rebounds per game is third most in the Association, and he has covered this line in three straight matches. So why take the under?
The answer is Utah’s rebounding skills. The Utah Jazz allow the fifth fewest rebounds per game with 50.6. Utah had four starters earn seven or more rebounds last night, and Keyonte George provided seven more off the bench.
Walker Kessler is an oak tree, and Zubac will not be able to move him as easily as other centers. John Collins and Lauri Markkanen can each earn ten rebounds on any night and Jordan Clarkson has been attacking the glass. In fact Clarkson was the leading rebounder in last night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. A game the Utah Jazz controlled throughout.
The deck is stacked against Zubac tonight, so put a unit on his under and hope the Jazz blowout both Los Angeles teams in back-to-back nights.
NBA Player Props & Other Picks Today, 2/13
With only four games today, player props are restricted, and teams do not have to announce their injury report until later in the afternoon.
With that in mind, our NBA best bets go back to the match in Salt Lake City.
Clippers vs. Jazz Prediction: Utah +9.5 (-110 on Bet365)
There are several reasons to be optimistic about the Utah Jazz winning their fourteenth game of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers. First off Utah won last night and did not have to travel, unlike the Clippers. The Utah Jazz are healthy and appear to be past displaying and resting of players for tradebait.
Third the Jazz have a healthy starting roster composed of players that have been on the team all season. Although heavily involved in the trade market, their rhythm was not disrupted. Lastly the Delta Center, perched over 4,000 feet in the air, could finally be rocking again with a chance to see back-to-back wins.
However, this wager does not need the Jazz to win in order to be successful. They simply must not lose by double digits, that does not seem too difficult a task. They have the advantages listed above, but the Jazz are also scoring more points per game than the Clippers. The Jazz score 122.2 per game while the Clippers average 110.8.
The Jazz also have a deeper bench with players that are healthy, the Clippers cannot say the same. Kawhi Leonard led the way to victory last night but is out tonight. Drew Eubanks is out as well, and Kris Dunn and Ben Simmons are listed as questionable.
A +9.5-point spread seems disrespectful. Put a unit on the Jazz to cover the largest spread of the day, on their homecourt.
