NBA Best Bets Today, 11/9: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Saturday

Some may get tired of Meatloaf, to those we say nay. The ballads will keep blasting, and the bankrolls keep building to the tune of Fantasy Alarm Best Bets because, ‘Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad’.
Stephen Curry didn’t get anywhere near 25 points, he didn’t even get halfway there. Alperen Sengun did everything correctly, he earned 9 rebounds in three quarters. However we needed 10 rebounds and the Rockets sat their starters for the entirety of the fourth quarter due to a blowout loss.
Tyler Herro had his three point prop covered in the third quarter for the bet of the day. The double units ensured a profit yesterday and we have won 28 of our 48 bets placed this season.
NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/9
Four games take place today, and due to games last night the sportsbooks have not released their bets for all players. There is a player who is prime for a bounce back game, and we have placed to separate wagers on him.
Raptors vs Clippers Prediction: Gradey Dick OVER 3.5 Rebounds (+140 on DraftKings Sportsbook) *Bet Of The Night
This column recently wagered on Gradey Dick to cover his points and he went over his line in the third quarter. Today the Toronto Raptors continue the west coast tour with the Los Angeles Clippers. Believe it or not the Clippers have the second best defense in the Association. They allow 106.7 points per game behind only the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Tough defense has helped fuel their three game win streak. Dick is coming off of his worst game of the season, and could have a bounce back game. He has been a stealthy rebounder, and even in the bad game on the sixth he managed to earn 4 rebounds.
He has earned 4 or more rebounds in three of his last four games, the only one he didn’t was against the Denver Nuggets who are a great rebounding team. His rebounding average is low but his effort should be high with two full days rest and a bad performance to improve upon. With odds at +140 this wager is worth a unit.
Raptors vs Clippers Prediction: Gradey Dick Over 16.5 Points (-105 on BET MGM)
The Doublemint commercial is running through my mind, as Gradey Dick leads the way with second NBA Best Bet today. The second prop for him, and the second time taking his over on a point line that should cash. As mentioned he had a terrible game against the Sacramento Kings, specifically his scoring. He played just 24 minutes, made just 3 of 10 field goals, and went 0 of 5 from behind the arc.
One piece of advice Scott Hastings (former NBA player and current NBA commenter) stated is ‘... this is professional basketball, players have pride in their play. If they had a bad game previously, they usually respond with a better performance.’
We are counting on Dick to bounce back with better play in his points and rebounds. He has scored well over 17 points in four of his last five games. Put a wager on him to look more himself after two days' rest in Los Angeles.
Should you prefer to live dangerously, Dick’s props in a same game parlay would be +260 on BET MGM.
Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 11/9
Not all of today’s bets are focused on the Raptors versus Clippers match. There is an excellent plus odds prop on a long time veteran playing in the Utah Jazz versus San Antonio Spurs match.
Jazz vs Spurs Prediction: Chris Paul Over 8.5 Assists (+115 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
For the second day in a row we have a veteran point guard proposition bet. Chris Paul is one of the greatest point guards of all-time, he may not be treated as one… but he is.
Within his next few games he will surpass 12,000 NBA assists, and before the end of the season he will pass Jason Kidd for second most all-time.
At a glance it would be tempting to take his under as he has not come close in his last two games. However, he had 10 assists in the most recent game against the Utah Jazz. Paul also has 5 games with 9 or more assists this season, compared to the 4 games he hasn’t.
The Spurs should have several offensive advantages against the Jazz, and Paul should see it with his excellent court vision. A blowout does not prevent this bet from happening, because Paul will likely have 10 or more assists in the event the Spurs blowout the Jazz.
There are several routes to 9 assists, and as long as his teammates are making their attempts, this bet should be successful. Put a unit on the over and if you are feeling risky but a double-double on Paul as well. It is at +275.

Player News
Mavericks have won the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery.
With just a 1.8 percent chance of success, Dallas leaped up in the lottery to nab the top pick in the 2025 draft. A little over three months after GM Nico Harrison traded away Luka Doncic, the Mavs will have a new young superstar to build around. Cooper Flagg is the expected top pick, and he will flawlessly fit Harrison’s mantra “defensive wins championships” that he has echoed tirelessly in every interview since trading Doncic. Assuming nothing changes, Flagg will join a loaded Dallas team that should be a contender in the stacked Western Conference next season. San Antonio, Philadelphia and Charlotte round out the top four picks in a talented draft class.
Brandin Podziemski had 11 points (3-of-14 FGs), three rebounds, one assist and four steals in Game 4 against the Timberwolves on Monday.
Podziemski was 3-of-14 from the field and missed all four of his three-point attempts. His 22.5 field goal percentage in this series is the worst for any player (min. 35 attempts) since Pero Antic shot 16.7 percent in the Hawks vs. Pacers series in 2014, according to Josh Dubow of the Associated Press. Down 3-1 in the series now, the Warriors need Stephen Curry to return from his hamstring injury for Game 5, a miracle or both to get back in this series.
Jimmy Butler had 14 points (5-of-9 FGs), six rebounds, three assists and one block in Game 4 against the Timberwolves on Monday.
Despite the Warriors win in Game 1, Butler warned in postgame interviews that Stephen Curry is the team’s best player and it was going to be difficult to win games without him. After what’s transpired over the last three games, which the Warriors have all lost, he might’ve been underselling it. Butler wasn’t able to fill Curry’s shoes in Game 4. In fact, he was a team-worst minus-30 in 34 minutes in the seven-point loss. The Warriors will have their backs against the wall facing elimination in Game 5 on Wednesday.
Julius Randle had 31 points (11-of-21 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and four three-pointers in Game 4 against the Warriors on Monday.
Anthony Edwards had 30 points (11-of-21 FGs), four rebounds, five assists, two steals and six three-pointers in the Timberwolves’ 117-110 victory over the Warriors in Game 4 on Monday.
Derrick White had 23 points (6-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, two assists and six three-pointers against the Knicks in Game 4 on Monday.
White was the Celtics second leading scorer in Game 4, but he was the only consistent scorer for Boston outside of Jayson Tatum. The 30-year-old point guard got all of his points on six three-pointers and five free throws. Unfortunately for the Celtics it wasn’t enough as Boston was trailing when Tatum went down with a lower leg injury in the final minutes, essentially taking a comeback off the table. The Celtics will look to stave off elimination with their backs against the wall at home in Game 5 on Wednesday.
