After a successful weekend, it is time to focus on Monday's six game slate. James Harden is the top play of the day because he crushed the Pacers last time he played them and this game will be a close one.
The point guard position is filled with mid-tier options as George Hill, Langston Galloway, and Aaron Brooks are all good options. Stephen Curry has rarely reached value recently, which is why John Wall is a better option because his price tag is a lot lower and if the Wizards have any chance of winning tonight's game, it will be because of him. I'm staying away from most of the Grizzlies because they should destroy the Knicks, so most of their starters are unlikely to get regular playing time. Kemba Walker is a decent mid-tier option as well, but worried that his 10 steals in the past two games has made up for a lot of his fantasy points. Langston Galloway is going to be forced to play heavy minutes with Alexey Shved hurt and Tim Hardaway Jr. unlikely to play, which makes him a great value option despite the tough matchup.
There are a couple of good options besides James Harden at shooting guard. Kevin Martin is playing huge minutes for the Timberwolves and should have no problem exceeding value tonight. Leandro Barbosa is only a good punt play if Klay Thompson doesn't play. Bradley Beal is a good cash game option as you know you're going to get 25 fantasy points from him with the ability to blow up for a big game. The small forward position is mediocre tonight as the top option, Gordon Hayward, is questionable to play. Therefore, I'll be going with the mid-tier options in Trevor Ariza (assuming he plays), Corey Brewer, or Jae Crowder. Draymond Green is good for 30 fantasy points, but he's expensive. Solomon Hill has actually produced admirable fantasy points recently and becomes a better value option if C.J. Miles doesn't play. Chase Budinger is back in play if Gary Neal does not play.
The power forward position has a couple of nice plays at the top in Pau Gasol and Derrick Favors. My only problem with Gasol is that he has only reached 40 fantasy points on Fanduel once in the past five games. However, he does have an incredible matchup. Would lean towards Favors over Gasol if Gordon Hayward doesn't play because that would open up more shots for Favors. Donatas Motiejunas is still one of my favorite plays at the position because his price tag is still low despite his ability to exceed value.
The center position is loaded with top-tier options in Rudy Gobert, Brook Lopez, and Marc Gasol. I'd favor Gasol, but worried about his playing time with the blowout factor. Gobert has scored EIGHT points in the past two games combined, which means he has to get double-digit rebounds and multiple blocks just to reach value. That is why I have a hard time trusting him. Just like Andre Drummond did last night, Brook Lopez is going to tear up the Celtics front court. Roy Hibbert is the best value option at the position as he has performed well recently and should have no problem exceeding value as long he gets enough playing time. Time to grind!
