Another Wednesday night, another big night in the NBA with 11 games on the slate. While there are plenty of stud players in action tonight (Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James just to name a few), this is one of those nights that a balanced lineup of mid-tier options is looking like the best route to take.
The point guard position is absolutely loaded tonight with Stephen Curry and Russell Westbrook as the top options at the position. I prefer Curry over Westbrook because Curry can produce similar fantasy points as Westbrook with a lower price tag. There are plenty of mid-tier options to like tonight in Tony Parker, Goran Dragic, and Jeff Teague. Parker is my favorite one out for the group because the Spurs desperately need a victory and Parker has been producing like a top-tier option recently, while his price tag is still low. Want nothing to with Zach LaVine if Rubio plays, so the only player that is worth targeting out of the low-tier options is Andre Miller.
The shooting guard position has a bunch of good options in Bradley Beal, Monta Ellis, Victor Oladipo, and Dwyane Wade. Oladipo is the best option out the group as his usage rate and fantasy production soars whenever Tobias Harris is out of the lineup. Wade is a good option because he continues to put up 40 fantasy points on a consistent basis. Beal is a lot cheaper than those guys and should have no problem reaching 30 fantasy points.
The small forward position is lead by Nicolas Batum, who continues to put up stats in every category. Rodney Hood has been playing at a high level recently, which makes him a good value option tonight. The power forward position is tricky tonight as the top-tier options are going to struggle to reach value, which is why I like the mid-tier options at the position. Draymond Green is going to put up close to 40 fantasy points as he's going to be forced to play huge minutes for the Warriors tonight. Nerlens Noel has a floor of 30 fantasy points, plus he has an amazing matchup tonight. Ersan Ilyasova is the best value play at position. However, Anthony Tolliver would become the best value play at the position if Greg Monroe doesn't play.
The center position is filled with quality mid-tier options in Enes Kanter, Brook Lopez, and Rudy Gobert (on Aces he's a mid-tier option). Kanter is the best option at the position because he has been tremendous lately and his price tag hasn't really increased. Justin Hamilton continues to rack up fantasy points with Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic out. Zaza Pachulia is another good value player to target. Al Horford and Nikola Vucevic are good options to target if you're looking to spend up at the position.
Make sure to listen to Justin Fensterman (@FenstySports) and I talk about tonight's 11 game slate on SXM Fantasy Sports Radio as you read through the playbook (audio).
