NASCAR DFS Preview: FireKeepers Casino 400
There are just four regular season races to go in the 2022 NASCAR season before the playoffs start. With that comes the first trip to Michigan International Speedway and the true test of speed that it is. This track used to be a twice-a-year stop for the Cup Series but it’s down to just one now which plays a pivotal role in the last dash for the playoffs.
Michigan International Speedway Layout
This is a large oval track. It’s one of the largest ovals in fact. It’s a two-mile, D-shaped oval with banking of 18 degrees in the corners and 12 degrees on the straight. What does this mean for drivers? It means that cars will gather speed throughout the laps so the smoother you can drive, the faster you can go. Now, just because it’s a two-mile track doesn’t necessarily mean that Auto Club is the only track to compare it too. For one, Michigan isn’t known as a tire wear track like Auto Club is though the teams will be running new tires from Goodyear this weekend.
What Is The Weather For Brooklyn, Michigan This Weekend?
The Irish Hills are usually gorgeous this time of year. That’s the part of Michigan that Brooklyn — and Michigan International Speedway — is located. This weekend in Brooklyn it’ll be in the mid-to-upper-80s each day. There’s also between a 25-41-percent chance of rain each day.
