MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 13
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR) – OVER 1.5 Total Bases
Vlad Guerrero Jr. and his Toronto Blue Jays teammates are in a smash matchup against rookie Kyle Bradish and the Baltimore Orioles tonight. After a tough start to the season, Guerrero Jr. is heating up and now has multi-hit games in two of his last three contests. He is in just as good a spot as anyone to hit a home run tonight and has seven in his last 20 games with a .308 ISO as well. Bradish is allowing a .487 wOBA to right-handed bats over the last two weeks with a 2.32 HR/9 allowed on the season. Don’t overthink this one and take the over on Guerrero Jr.’s hitting prop.
Yordan Alvarez (HOU) – OVER 8.5 Fantasy Points
Alvarez may be the hottest hitter on the planet. Over the last 15 days (50 at-bats), he is slashing .500/.552/.900 with a 1.452 OPS. These are video game numbers to go along with five HR and 16 RBI in that same span. Tonight, Alvarez faces Taylor Hearn and the Rangers and he's just as good against left-handed pitching as he is against righties. Since the start of the 2021 season, he has a .268 ISO and .392 wOBA with a .289 average vs. southpaws to go along with a .444 BVP against Hearn. Lock in Yordan Alvarez.
Alek Manoah (TOR) – OVER 18.5 Pitching Outs
Manoah has had a fabulous season so far and has dominated right from Opening Day. He is 7-1 on the season and is coming off a win last week when he pitched six scoreless innings and allowed only six hits and three walks. He now has five straight quality starts and over that stretch has an ERA of 1.87 and 1.04 WHIP. Tonight, Manoah is a heavy -320 favorite at home over the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles lineup is striking out 22.6% against right-handed pitching with a low .190 ISO and .296 wOBA. Manoah has gone 90+ pitches in his last three starts and there is no reason to not expect seven-plus innings from him tonight.
Aaron Nola (PHI) – OVER 6.5 Strikeouts
Nola comes into tonight’s game against the Marlins with a 10.25 K/9 rate on the season along with a 1.211 BB/9. His ERA may be high (3.50) but a look at his xERA (2.67) shows that he is pitching better than the numbers show. With a 2.79 SIERA over his last five starts and averaging nearly seven innings per game, Nola is in a prime strikeout spot. The Miami offense is striking out at a 24.3% clip with a 12.9 SwStr% to right-handed pitching this season.
