Frankie Montas MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: More Than 1.5 Earned Runs

The Brewers righty has really struggled all season long, finishing the year with a 4.84 ERA with just a 22.6% strikeout rate and 3.94 BB/9.

We just saw him in this matchup against the Mets and he needed 84 pitches to get through four innings and in those four innings he allowed two earned runs.

Today we just need to see him to repeat that performance against a Mets lineup that has seemingly caught fire over the past few days given their back-to-back come back wins against the Braves to get into the playoffs and then again yesterday to win Game 1.

 

 

 

Sean Manaea MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Less Than 27.5 Fantasy Points

The game total for today's matchup is set at 7.5 with a lean on the over at -115. We then look at some of the pitching projections for Manaea and if those end up holding true, I'm just not sure where we see him getting the needed 27.5 fantasy points. Right now his innings is set at 15.5 while his earned runs mark is heavy on the over 1.5. If he gives up 2-to-4 runs and doesn't get through six innings of work, I just don't see the fantasy production being there for him.

In his final start before the playoffs Manaea faced this same Brewers squad and they hit him hard as he finished with -1 fantasy points.
