We have a 12-game MLB DFS main slate on Tuesday, July 5th, and boy it is interesting. It’s mostly interesting because there are VERY few good MLB DFS pitching options, so attacking pitchers' props today are not great. That being said, attacking those pitchers with offensive props could be a very profitable move. Check back with our MLB Weather Center for more details surrounding the latest MLB weather report as MLB daily fantasy lineup lock approaches. To get all the confirmed lineups across baseball, check out the MLB Lineups page as well. To get projections and generate one or multiple daily fantasy baseball lineups, take a look at our MLB daily projections and MLB DFS Lineup Generator. Now let’s dive into the top MLB daily picks and MLB player props for Underdog Fantasy tonight!

José Ramírez OVER 1.5 total bases

I understand that José Ramírez has not had the most successful stretch the past couple of weeks, but sometimes a match-up just really speaks to you and this one against Drew Hutchison is that match-up for me.

On the year, Ramirez has torched right-handed pitching, notching 13 home runs along with a .308/.398/.636 slash line. He also has a .328 ISO and a .433 wOBA against right-handed hurlers.

On the flip side of this match-up, Drew Hutchison has not been a good pitcher for some time now. Across 260.1 innings against left-handed hitters throughout his career, Hutchison has allowed a .341 wOBA and 1.31 HR/9 innings. Hutchison has been extremely lucky this year posting a .167 BABIP to lefties and the 6.20 xFIP suggests a blowup is coming. That’s happening here to Ramirez.

Yordan Alvarez OVER 1.5 total bases

I’m not sure there is a better hitter in baseball right now than Yordan Alvarez. Since June 1st, Alvarez has hit 10 HR and has slashed .389/.491/.800 with a .411 ISO and .531 wOBA. Give me someone with better numbers. I’M WAITING. He’s also hitting .339 with 20 HR with an OPS of 1.179 against righty pitchers.

Alvarez faces off against Zack Greinke who has been very lucky over his last two starts as he continues to just not miss bats. The BABIP Greinke has produced in the last two games is under .200. Lefties have a 1.32 HR/9 and a 7.8% K-rate against Greinke. Hard to not like Alvarez in this spot, truthfully.
