We have an entire day of baseball and a fun MLB DFS slate beginning at 4:05 pm EST. There are a lot of fantastic matchups to exploit on Underdog Fantasy today. I really love the hitting props today considering we have the likes of Kris Bubic and Bryse Wilson on the mound opposing some of these offenses. Check back with our MLB Weather Center for more details surrounding the latest MLB weather report as MLB daily fantasy lineup lock approaches. Now let’s dive into the top MLB daily picks and MLB player props for Underdog Fantasy tonight!
Javier Báez OVER 1.5 total bases
Death, taxes, Javier Báez against left-handed pitching. That’s been Baez’s MO his entire career and despite his slow start to 2022, this season has been no different. Against southpaws, he’s batting .361 with a .423 wOBA this year. Throughout his career, he’s slashed .296/.349/.541 with a .245 ISO, and a .371 wOBA.
Baez faces off against Kris Bubic, who has looked awful for most of 2022. He has a 7.45 ERA and righties are batting .273 against him this season. They’ve also notched a .334 wOBA and a 35.3% hard-hit rate against Bubic. I love where Baez has been lately, hitting .354, four home runs, and a 1.130 OPS over the final 12 games of June.
Rowdy Tellez OVER 1.5 total bases
With one swing of the bat, Rowdy Tellez is going to go over this total. He’s hitting EVERYTHING out of the park right now, notching six home runs over his last 10 games. In fact, he only has seven hits over his previous 10 games, and all seven hits he’s notched seven extra-base hits. He’s hit right-handed pitching extremely well this season notching a .861 OPS, .285 ISO, and a .364 wOBA.
He squares off Bryse Wilson who is being absolutely torched by left-handed hitters this year. They’re batting .393 with an OPS north of 1.050 and a .446 wOBA against Wilson this year. Wilson has allowed seven earned runs in back-to-back starts and has allowed six or more earned in three of his last four starts. Love this spot for Tellez.
Other play(s) I like;
- Jesse Winker OVER 6.5 fantasy points
- Martín Pérez OVER 4.0 strikeouts

Player News
670 The Score’s Bruce Levine reports the Cubs are calling up top prospect Moises Ballesteros on Tuesday.
Levine adds that Ian Happ, who has missed three straight games with an oblique injury, is headed to the injured list as the corresponding move. The 21-year-old backstop has put up impressive numbers this season for Triple-A Iowa, batting .368/.420/.522 with four homers and three steals as one of the youngest hitters in the Pacific Coast League. He could make an impact for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues, especially if he’s playing regularly at DH, which makes him worthy of a speculative pickup. The biggest development for fantasy purposes here is that emerging star Pete Crow-Armstrong will continue leading off for at least a couple extra games until Happ returns.
Jhony Brito underwent UCL surgery with an internal brace procedure last month.
Brito will miss the remainder of the season and most likely a significant portion of next season as well. The 27-year-old righty made a career-high 26 relief appearances last year for San Diego.
Jonathan India picked up two RBI on three hits in a win Monday over the Astros.
Bobby Witt Jr. tripled and drove in two runs while helping the Royals to a 7-5 win over the Astros on Wednesday.
Carlos Estévez worked a scoreless ninth to procure a save against the Astros on Monday.
Michael Wacha allowed eight hits, but gave up just two runs over 6 1/3 innings in a win over the Astros on Monday.
