Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Advice
Well Week 10 of the fantasy football season is in the books and the upcoming Week 11 schedule sees the Falcons, Broncos, Jets and Chargers on a bye so some big names will be on some fantasy benches. With that said let’s take a look at the top players to add heading into Week 11.
-FAAB bids based off of $100 budget
Quarterback
Colin Kaepernick, SF- Kaepernick has been producing like a top fantasy quarterback in three of the four games he has started this season including two straight games of over 20 fantasy points. In Week 10 he completed 57 percent of his passes for 210 yards and a touchdown while adding 10 carries for 55 yards and another score. In Week 11 the 49ers will face off against a Patriots defense that is allowing the eighth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season and given their zone schemes have been susceptible to big plays which Kaepernick can exploit given his downfield arm strength. After beginning the season on the bench it’s very possible that Kaepernick could be leading a fantasy roster to a championship if he keeps producing at this level.
FAAB Bid $5-$10
Tyrod Taylor, BUF- Taylor is owned in just over 50 percent of standard leagues so in all likelihood if you are in leagues of 12 teams or greater he is on a roster but he is playing well enough that he should at least be on every team’s bench. The Bills are coming off a bye week and will face a Bengals defense that is allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. Taylor has been working with a dismal receiver group this season but he has countered his lack of passing yards by running more which has seen him rush for a touchdown in three straight games. With Percy Harvin now having a full week of practice with the team it is possible he and Robert Woods can provide Taylor with some help and boost his value even more.
FAAB Bid- $5-$10
Jared Goff, LA- The No.1 overall pick is finally getting his chance to start for the Rams in Week 11 and he will do so with a home matchup against the Dolphins who rank towards the middle of the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. The Rams actually have some talented receivers on their roster in Kenny Britt, Brian Quick and Tavon Austin so the opportunity for a strong debut is there if he can prove to be better than Case Keenum. I am not breaking the bank on Goff but if you want to grab him as a speculative add I don’t see an issue with dropping a few dollars here.
FAAB Bid $0-$5
Running Back
James Starks, GB – Starks made his return to the Packers in Week 10 and carried the ball seven times for 33 yards while adding three catches for 11 yards and a touchdown. Starks figures to be the Packers lead back going forward given that the team had been using receiver Ty Montgomery in the role and thus immediately becomes a must own player. In Week 11 the Packers face off against the Redskins who are allowing the 10th most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season but a deeper look will see that they have been torched by teams that have committed to the running game. Starks should be able to get about 15 carries and given his ability to also catch passes out of the backfield he should have RB2 upside this week.
FAAB Bid- $10-$15
Robert Kelley, WSH–Kelley has taken over as the Redskins lead back and is coming off a strong performance which saw him rush for 97 yards on 22 carries against a tough Vikings defense. In Week 11 the Redskins will face a Packers defense that has allowed four rushing touchdowns over the last three weeks and just gave up 154 rushing yards to the Titans in Week 10. This game figures to be a high scoring affair and Kelley could find himself in the end zone by the time this game is done.
FAAB Bid-$10-$15
Jeremy Langford, CHI– Langford began the season as the Bears starting running back but after struggling and getting injured he was replaced by Jordan Howard and found his role significantly reduced in the Bears offense. In Week 10 however Howard reportedly suffered an ankle injury that could have him questionable for Bears Week 11 contest against the Giants. While there is no guarantee that Howard will be ruled out for Week 11 those that own him will want to grab Langford as some injury insurance. If you find that Langford is owned in your league then Ka’Deem Carey is also worth adding however I expect Langford to be the lead back if Howard is unable to go.
FAAB Bid- $5-$10
Wide Receiver
Cameron Meredith, CHI–Meredith was a must own back when Brian Hoyer was under center for the Bears but with Jay Cutler at quarterback his value plummeted and ultimately saw owners cut bait over the past few weeks. Fortunately for Meredith and potential fantasy owners Alshon Jeffery was just handed a four game suspension for PED use which makes Meredith the Bears No.1 receiver over the next four weeks. In Week 11 the Bears will face off against the Giants who rank towards the middle of the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. In Week 10 Meredith caught what was essentially a 50 yard Hail Mary for a touchdown as his only catch of the game but with no Jeffery his targets and catches should increase.
FAAB Bid- $5-$10
Tyreek Hill, KC– Hill finally had the game fantasy owners were hoping for in Week 10 as he caught 10-of-13 targets for 89 yards against the Panthers. With Jeremy Maclin still dealing with what is being described as a “significant” groin injury it should be expected at Hill will once again be the Chiefs No.1 receiver heading into a Week 11 matchup against a Buccaneers defense that is allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season.
FAAB Bid- $5-$10
Eli Rogers, PIT- Rogers return to the Steelers offense has seen him establish himself as the team’s No.2 receiver behind Antonio Brown due to Sammie Coates inability to catch the football when it is thrown his way. In his first game back Rogers caught six passes for 103 yards and last week he caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. The Steelers passing attack is going to mostly feature Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell but Rogers is certainly making enough noise to be added in all formats. In Week 11 the Steelers will face off against a Browns defense that is allowing the seventh most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and have been torched by opposing team’s passing attacks all season long.
FAAB Bid- $0-5
Tight End
Cameron Brate, TB – Brate is really starting to come on for the Buccaneers, having now caught a touchdown pass in three straight games and turning in a season best seven catches for 84 yards in Week 10 against the Bears. Brate is effectively the team’s No.2 receiver behind Mike Evans and while Evans is going to see nearly 15 or more targets a week the offense still throws enough to give Brate weekly value as a top 10 tight end option. In Week 11 the Buccaneers be on the road against a tough Chiefs defense but some more favorable scheduling is ahead for the Bucs offense.
FAAB Bid- $5-$10
Vernon Davis, WSH– Even with Jordan Reed back the Redskins have still found ways to involve Vernon Davis in the offense as he has caught all eight of his targets for 159 yards and a touchdown over the last two weeks in which Reed was also on the field. While Reed will obviously take away from some of the value Davis holds he is still an incredible mismatch for opposing defenses given his size and speed so I would expect the Redskins to utilize that to their advantage. In Week 11 the Redskins will face off against a Packers defense that is allowing the seventh most fantasy points to opposing tight ends and seeing as this game will likely boast one of the week’s highest totals there is little reason to think Davis can’t be a low end TE1.
FAAB Bid $0-$5
Julius Thomas, JAX– The Jaguars passing attack as certainly been ugly this season but the team always manages to put together some late scoring drives which helps their players meet their fantasy values. Thomas has caught a touchdown pass in three of the last four games and while he has not eclipsed 30 yards receiving since Week 2 he does find himself in a very favorable matchup against a Lions defense that is allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season and have largely struggled against the pass all year long so at least for this week Thomas is a decent bye week replacement for those in need of one.

Player News
CBS Sports’ Aditi Kinkhabwala says free agent QB Aaron Rodgers “is not going to play just for the sake of playing.”
Kinkhabwala has had conversations with Rodgers and executives around the league trying to sign him. Based on those conversations, she says, “it’s extremely clear Rodgers is not going to play just for the sake of playing.” He remains unsigned with the 2025 NFL Draft on the horizon and multiple teams needing quarterback help. The Steelers are the most likely fit, but it seems Rodgers won’t force it if he does not find a good fit. This explains why Rodgers has been interested in the Vikings and has not yet signed. The 41-year-old may be headed for retirement if a situation he prefers, like the Vikings, does not want him back. His options remain limited and Rodgers may call it a career if he still does not like his options later in the offseason.
Bears signed LB T.J. Edwards to a two-year, $20 million extension.
Edwards’ extension includes $16.6 million guaranteed. The Bears originally signed him to a three-year, $19.5 million contract two seasons ago and he has outplayed that salary. Edwards has four interceptions, 6.5 sacks, and 20 tackles for loss in two seasons starting for Chicago in the middle of the field. He gets a raise as the Bears lock up another important part of their defense after extending CB Kyler Gordon earlier in the week.
Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams visited the Falcons on Wednesday.
Williams posted on his Instagram that he visited the Falcons facility on what was the last day of pre-draft visits. The 20-year-old is a Georgia native, played at the University of Georgia, and is expected to be selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Falcons have a need for an edge rusher and hold the No. 15 pick. They may look to keep Williams in-state and add his skillset to their pass-rushing group. Williams tallied five sacks last season and has explosive production for any team looking to add an edge rusher in the first round.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart “won’t fall out of the first round.”
Schultz reports his sources are indicating that Dart will not fall out of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He continues that the Giants are a candidate to trade up from pick No. 34 into the first round to take Dart if they do not take a quarterback at pick No. 3. The Saints are also an option with pick No. 9 or a trade up from pick No. 40. Dart is generally considered the third quarterback to come off the board after Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, so a team in need of a franchise quarterback may take a chance on him after Ward and Sanders are selected. Teams could look to gain a fifth-year option on Dart and trade into the first round if he is not taken earlier.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Raiders LT Kolton Miller is not participating in the voluntary offseason program and seeks an extension.
Miller was the Raiders’ first-round pick in 2018 and has started 107 games over seven seasons for the team. He is set to enter the final year of his current contract in 2025, making $12.25 million. Though he is not technically holding out yet since the offseason program is voluntary, Fowler notes Miller is seeking an extension. He finished last season with an 80.6 PFF grade, No. 14 among offensive tackles. Miller has been the Raiders’ franchise left tackle for seven years now and both sides will certainly discuss an extension as training camp nears.
Virginia Tech RB Bhayshul Tuten said he had a private workout with the Commanders’ running backs coach.
Tuten didn’t name him directly, but Anthony Lynn is currently the Commanders’ running backs coach and run game coordinator. The Commanders were hampered by injuries to both Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler last year. Robinson Jr. missed three games and played through some of his injuries while Ekeler missed five contests and was limited to just 112 touches. Tuten crushed the combine with a 4.32 Forty at 5'9/206. He handled 200 touches in back-to-back seasons at Virginia Tech while topping 1,100 yards from scrimmage in both campaigns. He would offer the Washington backfield a good mix of durability and home run potential.
