So we’ve had a few more drafts and the Mock Draft Army ADP Trend Report is as active as ever. But before we just jump right to the data table, allow me to highlight a few things of which to take note. Some may be common sense to many, but for some, you’ll actually be able to see the lightbulb over their heads go on when they stop and really think about it.
- The current ADP is an average draft position number for each player from every draft the Mock Draft Army has done. Just because you see Jordy Nelson with a 63.7 ADP or Kelvin Benjamin with a 98.5 doesn’t mean that’s where you should draft them if you want to try and be sneaky and stash them in keeper leagues (don’t do it!). That’s where they’ve fallen from their original ADP to now after not being drafted for a week and a half.
- Conversely, players like Davante and Adams and Devin Funchess have seen a major increase in their ADP, but because their ADP was so low for the first three or four weeks. While I don’t agree with how high the two have been drafted, over the past week and a half, Adams has an ADP of 52.6 in PPR leagues with a 53.6 in standard leagues. Funchess has an ADP of 78.2 in PPR play and a 60.5 in standard leagues over that same time frame. It works the same for Arian Foster whose ADP over the past week and a half is in 73.2 in PPR play and 70.5 in standard leagues.
- ADP is a guideline, not the gospel. You should be using ADP as a gauge for public opinion, not an actual ranking. Just because people are taking Adams so high doesn’t mean he’s going to be worth it. Some just assume that he will slot right into Jordy Nelson’s old spot, but the fact remains that he and Aaron Rodgers don’t have the same rapport that Rodgers and Nelson had, so if they have a few miscues, Rodgers could start spreading the ball around more and look for guys like Ty Montgomery and Jeff Janis who have yet to break into the ADP rankings of the Mock Draft Army.
That being said, let’s take a look at some of the other significant risers and fallers over the past month.
Risers
T.J. Yeldon, RB JAC (+91.4% in PPR; +2.6% in standard) – The rookie is having a strong camp and is starting to look good catching passes out of the flat. Denard Robinson is still going to get his work in as a change-of-pace back, but it seems like the Jaguars are going to at least hand the full-time reins over to Yeldon to start the season.
Doug Martin, RB TB – (+32.4% in PPR; +43.4% in standard) – With the Bucs naming Martin as their lead back, his ADP is definitely shooting upwards, but just be careful that you’re not putting too many eggs into his basket. Charles Sims is still a favorite of Lovie Smith, who drafted the kid, and Bobby Rainey is still likely to see a good amount of third down work. Martin is a good pick where his current ADP is right now, but we wouldn’t shoot for much higher unless you’re completely desperate.
Eddie Royal, WR CHI (+27.3 in PPR; -3.8% in standard) – The slight drop in standard leagues is negligible, but shouldn’t go unnoticed. With the loss of Kevin White and the injury to Alshon Jeffery, many are tagging Royal as a major player in the Bears passing game. While he may see an increase of targets early on, keep in mind that this is still Eddie Royal we’re talking about here. The veteran has been good for a few weeks and then disappears. It’s tough to imagine that pattern not being repeated this season.
Fallers
T.Y. Hilton, WR IND (-49.9% in PPR; -15.6% in standard) – He’s gone from a second-round draft choice to falling in among the likes of DeAndre Hopkins, and Jordan Matthews. Perhaps the addition of Andre Johnson who is having a solid preseason, is causing people to question just how many targets Hilton will see this season. He’ll still be a top guy on the Colts, but maybe not as productive as many originally perceived.
Josh Hill, TE NO (-20.7% in PPR; -11.8% in standard) – The fact remains that Ben Watson is seeing the majority of first-team reps in camp and it looks like the Saints are going to lean a little heavier on the veteran. Hill has some nice upside and could find his way into an increase in targets down the road, but for now, the team seems to view him as a second-tier option.
Cam Newton, QB CAR (-13.6% in PPR; -20.4% in standard) – For quarterbacks, the difference between PPR and standard is negligible as they aren’t the ones catching the passes. The scoring doesn’t affect them. However, it’s worth noting that Newton’s fantasy fan-base has diminished with the loss of Benjamin and the lingering concerns over his health. He should still be a top-10 quarterback (or at least close to it) but there’s no rush to grab him anymore.

CBS Sports’ Aditi Kinkhabwala says free agent QB Aaron Rodgers “is not going to play just for the sake of playing.”
Kinkhabwala has had conversations with Rodgers and executives around the league trying to sign him. Based on those conversations, she says, “it’s extremely clear Rodgers is not going to play just for the sake of playing.” He remains unsigned with the 2025 NFL Draft on the horizon and multiple teams needing quarterback help. The Steelers are the most likely fit, but it seems Rodgers won’t force it if he does not find a good fit. This explains why Rodgers has been interested in the Vikings and has not yet signed. The 41-year-old may be headed for retirement if a situation he prefers, like the Vikings, does not want him back. His options remain limited and Rodgers may call it a career if he still does not like his options later in the offseason.
Bears signed LB T.J. Edwards to a two-year, $20 million extension.
Edwards’ extension includes $16.6 million guaranteed. The Bears originally signed him to a three-year, $19.5 million contract two seasons ago and he has outplayed that salary. Edwards has four interceptions, 6.5 sacks, and 20 tackles for loss in two seasons starting for Chicago in the middle of the field. He gets a raise as the Bears lock up another important part of their defense after extending CB Kyler Gordon earlier in the week.
Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams visited the Falcons on Wednesday.
Williams posted on his Instagram that he visited the Falcons facility on what was the last day of pre-draft visits. The 20-year-old is a Georgia native, played at the University of Georgia, and is expected to be selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Falcons have a need for an edge rusher and hold the No. 15 pick. They may look to keep Williams in-state and add his skillset to their pass-rushing group. Williams tallied five sacks last season and has explosive production for any team looking to add an edge rusher in the first round.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart “won’t fall out of the first round.”
Schultz reports his sources are indicating that Dart will not fall out of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He continues that the Giants are a candidate to trade up from pick No. 34 into the first round to take Dart if they do not take a quarterback at pick No. 3. The Saints are also an option with pick No. 9 or a trade up from pick No. 40. Dart is generally considered the third quarterback to come off the board after Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, so a team in need of a franchise quarterback may take a chance on him after Ward and Sanders are selected. Teams could look to gain a fifth-year option on Dart and trade into the first round if he is not taken earlier.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Raiders LT Kolton Miller is not participating in the voluntary offseason program and seeks an extension.
Miller was the Raiders’ first-round pick in 2018 and has started 107 games over seven seasons for the team. He is set to enter the final year of his current contract in 2025, making $12.25 million. Though he is not technically holding out yet since the offseason program is voluntary, Fowler notes Miller is seeking an extension. He finished last season with an 80.6 PFF grade, No. 14 among offensive tackles. Miller has been the Raiders’ franchise left tackle for seven years now and both sides will certainly discuss an extension as training camp nears.
Virginia Tech RB Bhayshul Tuten said he had a private workout with the Commanders’ running backs coach.
Tuten didn’t name him directly, but Anthony Lynn is currently the Commanders’ running backs coach and run game coordinator. The Commanders were hampered by injuries to both Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler last year. Robinson Jr. missed three games and played through some of his injuries while Ekeler missed five contests and was limited to just 112 touches. Tuten crushed the combine with a 4.32 Forty at 5'9/206. He handled 200 touches in back-to-back seasons at Virginia Tech while topping 1,100 yards from scrimmage in both campaigns. He would offer the Washington backfield a good mix of durability and home run potential.
