We have a ten-game slate on this fine Sunday, and it’s loaded with high priced arms and bats that I wish were cheaper so I can get them all in my lineup! However, it doesn’t quite work like that, so below, you will find some value bats, and even an arm, to help ease the financial strain on your lineup! So, grab your coffee or beverage of choice, and let’s jump into today’s Value Vault!

Both Sites

Anthony Santander , OF BAL ($2,000 FD/$3,100 DK) - Santander is 4-for-8 with one home run, one double, three runs scored and one RBI in two contests since returning from injury. He now gets to face Washington’s Patrick Corbin , who has served up a .959 OPS to right-handed hitters this year and has a measley 4.91 ERA in his home park. Enjoy the price tag on Santander while you can, because likely by the middle of this upcoming week, he won’t be anywhere near these prices.

Luis Castillo , SP CIN ($6,800 FD/$6,500 DK) - This might be the cheapest we ever see the Cincinnati right-hander. His 5.47 ERA is far better than his 10.19 road ERA, so at least there’s that, right? He’s coming off one of his better outings of the year, where he allowed just three earned runs in five innings of work, and striking out a season-high 11 San Francisco Giants. Only five teams in baseball have a higher strikeout rate than the Brewers against right-handed pitchers, and only the Orioles have a lower wOBA. He can’t be trusted in cash games, but worth a look in GPPs.

DraftKings

Brian Anderson , 3B MIA ($3,300 DK) - Don’t look now, but Anderson is enjoying a seven-game hit streak and he’s hit safely in eight of his last 10. Sure, he has just one home run, but he does have three doubles, and has a run scored or an RBI in three of his last four. Jordan Yamamoto is getting the start for the Mets, and Anderson has a quality .729 OPS against righties in 2021. Also, for what it’s worth, Anderson has been better at home than on the road this year, so he has that going for him as well!

Willie Calhoun , OF TEX ($3,200 DK) - In six at-bats against Cristian Javier, Calhoun has two hits, both of which sailed over the fence for a round tripper. Javier has been more vulnerable to lefties in 2021, and four of five Calhoun’s homers on this year have come against the right-handed variety. On the road, Calhoun is below the Mendoza line, but he’s been a .313 hitter at home this year with a .821 OPS. Long story short: Calhoun at home against a righty? Yes please.

Freddy Galvis , 2B/SS BAL ($3,300 DK) - Galvis has hit safely in three of his last four contests, homering twice and driving in four runs in the process. He’s a far better hitter against lefties, as seen by his .289 average and .844 OPS this year against southpaws, and he’s actually been better away from Camden Yards than in his home park. In road contests this year, Galvis has a quietly impressive .303/.378/.923 slash line.

FanDuel

Kyle Tucker , OF HOU ($2,900) - Texas’ Mike Foltynewicz has served up a whopping .329 batting average against to left-handed hitters this year. If you think that’s bad, don’t look at his 1.039 OPS allowed to lefties. Yikes. Folty has a 5.26 ERA in home starts this year and Tucker has an .822 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He’s still too cheap on FanDuel, and he’s due to break out of this insane unlucky streak he’s in.

Gleyber Torres , SS NYY ($2,600) - Torres hasn’t set the world on fire against lefties this year, but he’s red-hot at the moment, notching multi-hit games in three of his last four outings. In this four game stretch, he’s homered once, scored three times, and driven in six runs. He’s 2-for-6 in his career off Dallas Keuchel , but on FanDuel, he’s entirely too cheap to fade. If you aren’t paying for Trea Turner at shortstop, save some money and ride Torres’ hot streak.

Austin Riley , OF ATL ($2,800) - Through the first three games of this series against the Pirates, Riley is 6-for-12 with two home runs, two doubles, five runs scored and four RBI. Riley has a .321 average and .910 OPS against right-handed pitchers in 2021, and Pittsburgh’s JT Brubaker ’s .345 wOBA against right-handed hitters pales in comparison to his .295 mark against lefties. Atlanta has a lot of higher-priced firepower in their lineup, but on FanDuel, Riley isn’t one of them. Love the value today with Riley.
