Twins 2012 1st round pick OF Bryon Buxton
Kevin Gausman-P Orioles  Â
The Orioles have recalled Kevin Gausman to pitch out of the bullpen, if he is not needed in relief than he may get the start against the Yankees on Friday instead of Freddy Garcia. Until Gausman can limit the long ball he is best avoided in most formats.
Danny Hultzen-P Mariners Triple-A Tacoma ÂDanny Hultzen, who has been sidelined since mid-April with a rotator cuff strain, is set to rejoin the rotation at Triple-A Tacoma Thursday. Danny Hultzen recently threw five innings for Peoria Rookie League Saturday allowing three hits, one run and struck out eight.
Bryon Buxton-OF Twins High-A Fort Myers
Twins have promoted Bryon Buxton to High-A Fort Myers. Buxton has shown that he arguably should have been the number one overall pick in last year’s MLB Draft as he .341 with eight homers, 10 triples, 15 doubles, 55 RBIs and 68 runs scored in just 68 games with Low-A Cedar Rapids.
Kyle Gibson- P Twins Â
Kyle Gibson will start for the big league club on Saturday, at home, versus James Shields and the Kansas City Royals. For more on Gibson, including a snippet of his scouting report look here Minor League Scouting Report
Taylor Jordan- P Nationals Â
Jordan was a ninth round pick back in 2009 by the Nationals and is being rumored to be on his way to joining the big league club on Friday. Jordan has complied 71 strikeouts to just 14 walks in 85.1 innings pitched over two levels (Class-A and Double-A) and has allowed only one home run. I would not count on Jordan for much while up with the Nats, but now that he is getting an opportunity you could consider owning him in your deep dynasty leagues if he happens to be on the waiver wire.
Jake Marisnick-OF Marlins Double-A Jacksonville
Marlins number two prospect, outfielder Jake Marisnick returned to the lineup Monday for Double-A Jacksonville. Marisnick had been sidelined since June 19th after being hit on his left hand by a pitch. Marisnick went 1-for-4 with a single, a walk, and a strikeout in his return.
After struggling for most of his time in Double-A last season with the Blue Jays affiliate Dunedin, Marisnick is having much more success his second time around hitting .289 with nine home runs, three triples, and nine doubles in 43 games coming into Monday night's contest. Marisnick is a five tool player who still needs to polish a few of those tools, but looks like he is on the right track as he has shown improvement from last year. Marisnick may be the odd man looking out as the Marlins already have Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna in the outfield with Christian Yelich ahead of Marisnick in terms of prospect rankings.
Ike Davis-1B Mets Triple-A Las Vegas
Ike Davis was named Pacific Coast League offensive player of the week for the week ending June 23rd. Davis was hitting .310/.463/.690 over his first 12 Triple-A games, including four home runs in two games last week. Davis has already drawn 12 walks after only 15 free passes in 55 games with the Mets. Dynasty league owners consider trying to buy low on Davis, while you can.

Rays optioned RHP Joe Boyle from Triple-A Durham.
Five hitless innings Sunday against the Braves wasn’t enough to get their Rays to change their minds about keeping Boyle around after his spot start, but at least it did firmly establish him as being next in line when anything opens up.
Rays recalled RHP Eric Orze from Triple-A Durham.
Orze is up to work in relief after allowing just one run and posting a 9/0 K/BB in six innings for Durham. The 27-year-old was acquired from the Mets for Jose Siri in November. His only two major league appearances came last year and produced a 21.60 ERA.
Mariners activated RHP Troy Taylor from the 15-day injured list.
The Mariners are bringing Taylor back to the majors even though he allowed six runs over 3 1/3 innings of relief work on his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma. It might be a short stay, since the team will need a fifth starter on Saturday, and the decision on who gets to remain with the team will probably come down to him and Casey Legumina. Taylor, who had been out with a strained lat, is very much part of the Mariners’ plans going forward, but he doesn’t seem to be quite at his best right now.
Mariners designated RHP Casey Lawrence for assignment.
The 37-year-old Lawrence picked up his fifth career win after allowing two runs over three innings on Wednesday, but it proved to be his lone appearance for the Mariners. He should clear waivers, and though he’ll be eligible for free agency, there’s a good chance he’ll stay put.
Tyler Ivey threw five shutout innings without allowing a hit for Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday to earn a win.
The 28-year-old struck out two and walked one after coming in relief in the fourth inning. Ivey has only made one start in Triple-A so far, but last night’s outing shows that he’s already built up enough to throw 70 pitches in an outing. He has allowed just three runs (two earned) on seven hits in 13 1/3 innings this season with 11 strikeouts and six walks. Lance McCullers is returning to the Houston rotation soon, but should there be any roadblock in his recovery, Ivey could be an option if Ryan Gusto struggles as a spot starter for the Astros.
Luis Campusano went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored for Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.
The 26-year-old has started the seasong 17-for-43 (.395) with three home runs, nine RBI, and 13 runs scored. He also has a solid 9:7 K:BB ratio in 12 games. Meanwhile, Elias Diaz has gone 7-for-30 at the big league level for the Padres. A change may not be imminent, but Diaz will need to start hitting if he’s going to hold off Campusano for much longer.
