Who’s Hot
Hunter Pence - Pence has been shockingly good this season. He is hitting .338/.412/.703 with seven home runs and a stolen base. The crazy part is there is a lot supporting the power spike. He has an exit velocity in the top 6% of the league and his xBA, and wOBA are in the top 2% of the league. With Delino DeShields being sent down, Pence should play a ton moving forward.
Max Muncy -Muncy is hitting .345/.441/.655 with three home runs and two stolen bases in the last week. With Cody Bellinger moving from first base to the outfield, Muncy should play more regularly. He is still showing excellent control of the strike zone and he’s an underrated player in fantasy.
Justin Turner - Turner has been showing great contact skills all season long, now he is finally hitting for power too. Over the last week, he is hitting .346/.370/.962 with five home runs. The Dodgers are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now and Turner should benefit greatly from that.
Who’s Not
Miguel Andújar - Since returning from the IL, Andujar has really struggled. Over the last week, he is hitting .077 with no walks or extra base hits. It is a matter of time before he turns it around. This is just knocking off the rust from the long layoff.
Nate Lowe - Nate Lowe was sent down to the minors by the Rays. The Rays needed to make a move with Austin Meadows returning from the IL. Lowe didn’t get much of a chance to prove he belongs at the Majors, but it is clear he is too good for AAA. He should be back sooner rather than later, so if you dropped a ton of FAAB on him, hold on to him for a bit.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - Since arriving at the Majors, Vlad has struggled to live up to expectations. He has been getting squeezed a bit at the plate, but he is also getting star treatment from pitchers. The Blue Jays aren’t playing for anything this season, so there is no reason for them to not just let him figure it out in Toronto. He is too talented to be this bad, so be patient.

Player News
Nationals have not yet decided if Michael Soroka (biceps) will make another rehab start or not.
Soroka himself feels ready to go after throwing 78 pitches on Sunday. “I’m absolutely ready to compete. It’s time... It depends what they want to do. We got to have that conversation.” The Nationals could decide to stretch Soroka out to 90 pitches before returning, but the veteran is not concerned about his recent injury. “It was kind of a one-off pitch. It wasn’t really something that crept up on me. Overextended on a breaking ball, and it grabbed me. So yeah, I threw a lot of breaking balls since then, and they all feel good. So we’re in good shape.” It sounds like Soroka will be back next week at the latest, so now could be the time to stash him in deeper fantasy formats after a strong spring training.
Shohei Ohtani walked three times, stole a base and scored a run in an extra-inning win Monday over the Marlins.
Ohtani’s steal was the seventh of the season. The three walks bring his season total to 18, and his on-base percentage is a strong .392 over the first 28 games of 2025. Ohtani has now reached at least three times in three consecutive games, but it’s worth noting he hasn’t gone deep since April 16.
Teoscar Hernández hit a two-run homer in a win over the Marlins on Monday in extra innings.
Dane Myers hit a pinch-hit grand slam to tie the game in the sixth inning against the Dodgers.
After Dustin May left the game, Myers came on to hit for Matt Mervis off southpaw Anthony Banda, and he slaughtered a ball over the center-field fence to turn a 5-1 deficit into a 5-5 game. He also singled, and he improved his slash to a strong — and totally unsustainable — .315/.327/.463. He does appear to see the ball pretty well against southpaws, however.
Tommy Edman hit a walk-off two-run single in the 10th inning to give the Dodgers a 7-6 win over the Marlins on Monday.
Dustin May didn’t factor into the decision after allowing three runs over 5 1/3 innings against the Marlins on Monday.
May blanked the Marlins over five innings, but then was charged for three runs in the sixth; two of those coming on a grand slam after he had left the contest. It’s a shaky result, but a better outing than his 10-hit disaster against the Cubs last Tuesday. Still, May’s ERA has jumped from 1.06 to 3.95 over his last two chances, and he’ll try and get back on track in a rematch with the Marlins in Miami next week.
