CFB DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Playbook & Schedule: December 7th
Whether you’re relying on star players from the Power Four or exploring the depths of less familiar teams, success this week will depend on a smart mix of elite talent and calculated risks, especially with such a small slate.
Let’s jump into Conference Championship Week and identify the key CFB DFS picks that can lead you to victory in this thrilling conclusion to the college football regular season!
CFB DFS Lineups: Quarterbacks
Cade Klubnik, Clemson Tigers
Matchup wise, I would much prefer Klubnik over Dillon Gabriel. SMU has been stout against the run, but they’ve been extremely generous to opposing passers, at least in terms of yardage. If he can turn the yardage into touchdowns, he’ll be in great shape. Plus, he’s really been utilizing his legs this season, which is always an added bonus.
Parker Navarro, Ohio Bobcats
MAC games have recently been during the midweek, so many may not yet know of Navarro in the CFB DFS picks space. All he’s done in his last 3 outings is put up 47.7, 29.6 and 43.8 fantasy points, respectively. The RedHawks don’t present the greatest matchup, but for how well Navarro’s been playing, Miami not necessarily being elite aids our case.
Sam Leavitt, Arizona State Sun Devils
I’m not sure why Leavitt is priced so low this week. Yes, the Cyclones have been much better against the pass than the run, but this is still a guy that’s put up 20+ fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 starts. The team itself has momentum after their rout of rival Kansas last week and I’d be surprised if Leavitt didn’t have at least a moderately productive day, at the bare minimum.
CFB DFS Lineups: Running Backs
Cam Skattebo, Arizona State Sun Devils
Speaking of the Sun Devils, Skattebo is primed for yet another monster performance. He has at least 39.9 in 3 of his past 4 games and now faces an absolutely atrocious run defense of Iowa State. As I just mentioned, this ASU squad is rolling and should come out firing on Saturday – and the engine that drives their offense is Skattebo.
Brashard Smith, SMU Mustangs
It’s hard not to be high on Smith as well this week. Just like the guy above, Smith is the focal point of this offense and has been delivering week in and week out the second half of the season. He’s scored at least 1 touchdown in each of his past 5 outings and should easily do the same against a below average Clemson run defense.
Bill Davis, Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns
Let’s get a little more out of the box with the next of our CFB DFS picks. Davis recorded 777 rushing yards on 150 carries this season to go along with 10 total touchdowns. ULL plays Marshall this weekend and the gundering Herd are one of the worst defenses against running backs in all the country. Sign me up.
Keyon Mozee, Miami (OH) RedHawks
Rough matchup here for Mozee, but the sheer volume he gets is what we’re attracted to. He has 14+ carries in each of Miami’s last 7 games, and in 6 of those games he eclipsed 100 rushing yards. He does nothing (literally, nothing) in the passing game but should be able to find his way into the end zone at some point.
CFB DFS Lineups: Wide Receivers
Tyler Warren, Penn State Nittany Lions
The price is high, and Oregon is really good at defending tight ends. But by now, it’s almost hard to not play Warren no matter the matchup. He’s the best TE in the country and has recorded at least 21 fantasy points in 4 straight games. Whether it’s with the pass or just handing him the ball off, he’ll certainly stay involved in the game plan.
Jayden Higgins, Iowa State Cyclones
Higgins has been more boom or bust this season but taking into consideration his CFB DFS projections for this week, he’s in a good spot to boom. Arizona State has been susceptible to the pass this season, and even last week when he recorded just 3 receptions, Higgins still saw 13 total targets fly his way.
Antonio Williams, Clemson Tigers
If I like Klubnik to be able to move the ball through the air, why not stack him with his top wideout? Williams has been quite consistent this season and is just a couple games removed from a monster 42.9-point fantasy performance. He has the chance to be the difference maker in this game for the Tigers; they just need to get him the ball.
Matthew Golden, Texas Longhorns
Making the most of his opportunities is definitely what Golden has been doing recently. He has just 17 catches in the last 5 games, but 5 of those catches went for touchdowns. I typically try to avoid these types of players and roll with the volume-heavy ones, but in a week like this, you could do much, much worse than Golden.

Player News
Bills waived TE Armani Rogers.
This is unfortunate. Rogers recently ruptured his Achilles tendon for the second time in three years. He showed promise as a 2022 rookie, earning a 65.3 PFF receiving grade and a 68.0 PFF run-blocking grade, but the injuries are taking their toll. The Bills also released DT Branson Deen.
Jo Adell is not in the Angels’ starting lineup for Thursday evening’s battle against the Rangers in Arlington.
There have been no mentions of any physical issues that Adell is dealing with, so we’re assuming it’s just a regular day of rest for the 26-year-old slugger. Kyren Paris will move to center field to cover for him while Luis Rengifo slides over to second base and J.D. Davis will get an opportunity at the hot corner. For those tracking at home, that will be the fifth game in the outfield this season for Paris as he works towards eligibility there for fantasy purposes.
Christopher Morel is absent from the Rays’ starting lineup for Thursday’s tilt against the Yankees.
Morel had started each of the team’s previous 10 games, so it looks like they’re just trying to give him a breather. The 25-year-old slugger is slashing a healthy .288/.362/.404 with one homer, six RBI and a pair of stolen bases through his first 17 games on the season. Richie Palacios will start in his place in left field on Thursday night and will bat sixth against Will Warren and the Yankees.
Kyle Manzardo is not in the Guardians’ starting lineup for Thursday night’s showdown against the Orioles.
It appears to be just a routine day of rest for the 24-year-old slugger with right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano toeing the slab for the Orioles. Manzardo has slowed considerably after his strong start to the season as he’s slashing just .185/.313/.463 to go along with four homers and 11 RBI. Jose Ramirez will function as the Guardians’ designated hitter in his place on Thursday with Gabriel Arias sliding over to third base and Daniel Schneemann drawing a start at second base.
Trae Young (Achilles) is probable for Friday’s game against the Heat.
Even in the postseason, the Hawks continue to list Young as probable with an Achilles injury. The listing is performative, stemming from Young being held out of an NBA Cup game earlier this season despite not appearing on the injury report, which resulted in a $100K fine for the Hawks. With the Hawks’ season on the line Friday, expect Young to be cleared to play once again.
Tyler Soderstrom went 1-for-5 and blasted his league-leading ninth home run on Thursday as the Athletics clobbered the White Sox 8-0 in Chicago.
Soderstrom did his damage in the seventh inning of this one, launching a 3-2 slider from Brandon Eisert for a 374-foot (103.9 mph EV) solo shot that made it a 5-0 ballgame. It has taken the 23-year-old slugger just 19 games to match his home run output from the 2024 season where he swatted nine long balls in 213 plate appearances over 61 ballgames. He’s obviously not going to continue at this remarkable pace, but Soderstrom needs to be rostered and started in all fantasy leagues.
