NCAAB Picks Today: College Basketball On Wednesday, 2/19
Another exciting night of SEC basketball comes to fruition! There are two big games that promise to be full of action.
First up, Arkansas is traveling to #1 Auburn, where their different playing styles will clash. The Razorbacks are hoping to beat the odds against one of the top teams in the conference. At the same time, #4 Alabama is facing off against #15 Missouri in what is expected to be a super-fast game, with the Crimson Tide aiming for a win while playing on the road.
Since basically every SEC matchup is important for postseason rankings at this point, they present great chances for betting. Let's check out the top Arkansas vs. Auburn prediction and Alabama vs. Missouri prediction for today and the college basketball odds at FanDuel Sportsbook that go along with them!
Arkansas vs. Auburn Prediction Today: February 19th
Auburn has been really strong at home this season, so can the Razorbacks keep the game close enough to cover the big +16.5 spread? Arkansas has been tough lately, pulling off a solid road win against Texas and only losing narrowly to Alabama.
Their offense is pretty balanced, averaging 76.1 points per game, which should help them stay in the game against a Tigers defense that gives up 68.9 points per game. A crucial part of the game will be Arkansas' ability to make three-pointers.
They shoot an average 33.8% from beyond the arc, and Auburn has had no trouble defending against outside shots, stifling opponents to just 29.8%. They’ll need to hit some key ones tonight to stay on this one. On defense, Arkansas will need to slow down Auburn's high-scoring offense, which puts up 85.1 points per game, to keep the score close.
While Auburn should and probably will win, this spread seems a bit too high considering how Arkansas has been playing lately. Every game in the SEC is a dogfight, so our official Arkansas vs. Auburn prediction will take the Razorbacks to cover the +16.5 spread (-118 on FanDuel).
- Expert Arkansas vs. Auburn Prediction: Razorbacks +16.5 (-118 at FanDuel)
Alabama vs. Missouri Prediction Today: February 19th
We look to Missouri money line (-120 at FanDuel) for the best bet in our Alabama vs. Missouri prediction, especially since Alabama is coming into this game with a number of injuries. The Crimson Tide are missing some key players, including center Clifford Omoruyi, who is questionable for this matchup, and forward Derrion Reid, who is doubtful.
Their backcourt is also banged up, as Houston Mallette is out with a knee injury, leaving Alabama short-handed against a tough Missouri team that plays well at home. Although the Crimson Tide have an impressive offense, averaging 90.3 points per game (which is the best in the country), their lack of depth could hinder their ability to keep up that scoring pace.
Missouri has been inconsistent but has shown strength in Columbia, and if Omoruyi can't play, they'll have the upper hand inside. Plus, Missouri's aggressive defense could take advantage of Alabama's fatigue throughout the game. With Alabama's depth issues, Missouri has a great chance to secure a win at home.
- Expert Alabama vs. Missouri Prediction: Tigers Money Line (-120 at FanDuel)
