Geekie filed for salary arbitration, but the two sides have reached an agreement before a hearing was necessary. He had seven goals and 22 points in 73 contests last season.

Geekie is coming off a one-year, $750,000 contract. He had seven goals, 22 points, 97 shots and 55 hits in 73 games during the 2021-22 campaign. 

The 23-year-old didn't play in Seattle's last game either. He has 21 points in 68 games this season. Haydn Fleury and Derrick Pouliot will also watch from the press box. 

Geekie was the only Kraken player to light the lamp in this game. His goal was scored 17:28 into the first period and was assisted by Ryan Donato and Austin Czarnik. This was Geekie’s fourth goal of the season. He now has 13 points in 48 games played. This goal ended a five-game pointless streak for Geekie. His las point came back on February 11th.
