2024 Player Outlook
Cade Otton actually led all tight ends in snaps in 2023 with 1,064. Consistency was his main issue has he did have a couple big target weeks but he also had 9 weeks with fewer than 20 yards. His situation isn't that far off from a guy like Dallas Goedert - he's not a sexy start in most weeks but, if one of the top two wide receivers gets hurt, he could have big upside. Keep that in mind if something happens to Mike Evans or Chris Godwin.
Player News
Cade Otton caught both of his targets for 32 yards in the Bucs’ Wild Card loss to the Commanders.
A late-season injury hampered Otton’s breakout season a bit, but the 25-year-old caught 59-of-87 targets for 600 receiving yards and four touchdowns on the season. He also gained 311 yards after the catch, which is over half of his total yardage. He proved to be a valuable receiving threat in Tampa Bay, and if they don’t add another talented receiver or bring back Chris Godwin then Otton could flirt with low-end TE1 value next season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Cade Otton (knee, questionable) is expected to play in the Wild Card Round against the Commanders.
Otton is one of five players who entered the weekend listed as questionable who are expected to play on Sunday night. The third-year tight end who broke out for 59-600-4 in 14 games this season has missed the last three weeks due to a knee injury but will be back in the mix on Sunday night, barring anything unexpected. In addition to Otton, safeties Antoine Winfield Jr., and Mike Edwards, along with cornerback Jamel Dean, and defensive end Logan Hall are also expected to play despite being listed as questionable.
Cade Otton (knee) is questionable for the Wild Card Round against the Commanders.
Otton has been out since Week 15. He was limited in Wednesday’s practice before getting in two full sessions. He should be good to go for Tampa Bay’s matchup with the Texans. Otton’s role declined once the Bucs got Mike Evans back and Jalen McMillan has fully taken over as the team’s No. 2 target. Otton, in turn, will be a touchdown-or-bust fantasy option for Sunday’s slate.
