Commanders WR Noah Brown (groin/knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Tight end John Bates was also held out of practice. Per Dan Quinn, neither player is expected to suit up this week. The absence of Brown could free up a few more routes for rookie wideout Jaylin Lane. Even in an increased role, Lane isn’t on the redraft radar for now.

Commanders HC Dan Quinn said Noah Brown (groin) is “a long shot” to play in Week 3 against the Raiders.

Quinn said the same of tight end John Bates, who is also dealing with a groin injury. Brown has three catches for 38 yards on seven targets this season and was already well off the fantasy radar. Assuming he’s unable to play in Week 3, the Commanders would likely feature veteran Chris Moore in his spot, who is listed behind him on the depth chart.

Commanders WR Noah Brown (knee) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 2 against the Packers.

Brown played through the knee issue last week, running as the Commanders’ WR3 versus the Giants. He was limited in his first two practices this week and was technically listed as a DNP on Wednesday. That, however, was a rest day for the veteran wideout. He is in play as a contrarian DFS option for Thursday’s game but is not on the redraft radar.

Commanders WR Noah Brown (knee) remained limited in Washington’s practice on Tuesday.

He played through this designation last week, logging 33 snaps for the Commanders as their third receiver. He has some DFS solo slate appeal against the Packers, but otherwise probably isn’t involved enough to consider for standard fantasy leagues.
