Karlos Dansby
Player News
Karlos Dansby is not practicing Wednesday.
In all likelihood, it appears as though Dansby is simply getting a "veteran's day off" as he's not currently on the Bengals injury report. The 34-year-old has played in all five of Cincinnati's games so far this season, tallying 18 tackles. He should be good to go for the Bengals in their Week 6 tilt with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Karlos Dansby recorded 11 tackles during the Bengals' 23-22 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.
The veteran linebacker had another strong game on Sunday. Double-digit tackles are nothing new to Dansby and he will have his fair share this season. He will play in a revenge game against Cleveland next week, the team he played for the last two seasons.
The Bengals are signing LB Karlos Dansby Tuesday.
Dansby was productive in Cleveland last season producing 109 tackles and three interceptions. You had to know that Dansby was looking to play for a contender at the age of 34. The Bengals will be without Vontaze Burfict for the first three games of the season as he serves his suspension for viscous hit he delivered to Antonio Brown in the playoffs. He is a terrific coverage linebacker, Dansby should be a factor in sub packages regardless of his role in base sets.
Karlos Dansby is visiting the Bengals Thursday, per source.
2016 will be Dansby's 14th season in professional football. He had a very successful 2015 season in which he made over 100 tackles, had three interceptions, forced two fumbles and found his way into the endzone twice.
