Kendrick Lewis

He hurt his thigh in practice on Thursday, and was listed as doubtful. Adding him to the IR list just confirms that his thigh injury was significant. This leaves the Ravens thin at free safety, with just starter Lardarius Webb list as available on the depth chart, so look for the team to make a move to address this need.

Lewis didn't play in Week 6 so this is a positive step to play in Week 7. Lewis had one good week against the Browns where he forced two fumbles.

Good news that the MRI came back clean but Lewis isn;t exactly out of the woods just yet. Though there's no structural damage, he is still dealing with some soreness in the knee and there is likely still some swelling. Monitor his practice schedule this week to see if he'll be available for the Monday night game. If not, Anthony Levine and possibly even Terrence Brooks would see the extra snaps.

The Ravens secondary has been one of the worst in the league this season, and the 49ers have 251 passing yards midway through the third quarter in Week 6. Lewis is Baltimore's starting free safety, and if he's unable to return, a bad secondary may be even worse.
