Chris Clemons
Player News
Cardinals are cutting LB Donald Butler and S Chris Clemons.
Cutting Butler is kind of a shocker as he's been a starter for the Chargers for the past five seasons. Butler will definitely find a new home somewhere, but it won't be in Arizona. Clemons, on the other hand, had his career derailed when he didn't suit up in 2014 because of a season ending injury. He hasn't been able to get back to his old form.
Cardinals re-signed S Chris Clemons.
The Cardinals lost Tyrann Mathieu to a season-ending torn ACL. Clemons has experience in the system, and will slot in as the second free safety on the depth chart behind Tony Jefferson. He could provide additional snaps as a nickle or dime corner, but do not bet on him in your championship game in your IDP leagues.
Cardinals removed Chris Clemons from injured reserve with injury settlement.
After originally being placed on the IR, his roster spot was taken up by Cariel Brooks. He holds zero fantasy value going forward.
The Cardinals have placed Chris Clemons and Kenny Demens on injured reserve ending their season.
Clemons has been dealing with nagging hamstring issues all season. He'll likely receive a settlement and be waived in the coming days.
