Jonas Gray
Player News
Minnesota worked out Jonas Gray this week.
With the Vikings run offense struggling massively, they look to bring out the 2014 Jonas Gray if they do sign him. Gray was cut from the Jaguars during training camp this year so look for the Vikings to keep trying out running-backs until they find one they like.
Lions tried out running backs Daniel Thomas, Jonas Gray, and Mike James.
Not a surprise considering the current Lions running-back depth. Dwayne Washington will most likely get the start this week for Detroit.
Jaguars released RB Jonas Gray from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
Gray had little chance at getting on the field even if healthy for Jacksonville anyway, so this settlement is probably best for both parties. Best of luck to him on his recovery and future career in the NFL.
Jaguars waive/injured Jonas Gray on Wednesday.
The ultimate one-game wonder finds himself without a team once again. Gray, most well-known for his four touchdown game with the Patriots in 2014, has only scored once since that game. For Jacksonville last season, he rushed the ball 45 times for 176 yards. With the acquisition of Chris Ivory, the backfield in Jacksonville was certainly too crowded to keep Gray on the roster for too long. Ivory and T.J. Yeldon will likely split the majority of carries for the Jaguars this season.
