Ryan Walker
2025 Player Outlook
Ryan Walker stepped in as the Giants closer down the stretch of the 2024 season, as incumbent Camilo Doval struggled mightily with his command. Walker converted 10-of-10 save chances in August in September and will open the 2025 in the closer's role, according to Manager Bob Melvin. Walker possesses a nasty slider that generated an elite 38.0 percent whiff rate last season, as he posted a 1.90 ERA in 80.0 innings. He should be a strong source of saves as long as he remains in the closer's role.
