Marlins activated LHP Alex Vesia from the 10-day injured list.
The Marlins placed Vesia, and many others, on the injured list in early August. Before the injury, the southpaw appeared in one game for the Fish, allowing a pair of runs in two-thirds of an inning. He'll pitch in relief for the club.

Vesia pitched between three different levels in the minors last year while posting an impressive 1.76 ERA and 100/19 K/BB ratio over 66 2/3 innings. The 24-year-old earned a spot with a strong showing in camp and should start out in a middle relief role.
