2025 Player Outlook

Miranda's .284 average last year was the best of his career, and he continues to have a solid feel of the strike zone, as highlighted by his strikeout rate that has dropped each of the last two seasons. His ground ball rate was sub-40 percent for the first time in his career, and prior to the All-Star break, he hit nine home runs in 255 ABs, while hitting .325 with a .522 SLG. The wheels came off after the All-Star Break, as he served two separate stints on the IL for a back issue, so there's reason that even when he wasn't on the IL, he was playing hurt. Miranda doesn't carry the prototypical power of a corner infielder, especially in fantasy, but he should hit for a good average (.265+) and end up with 12-16 long balls. Better suited for leagues that value batting average compared to OBP.
