Dylan Moore (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a mild right shoulder strain.
Moore told reporters on Tuesday that he expects to return from the injured list next week when first eligible. He underwent an MRI over the weekend that reveled a mild strain after tweaking his adductor last week. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward, but the Mariners are giving him some extra time off to put the issue to bed.
Mariners placed INF/OF Dylan Moore on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 26, with right shoulder inflammation.
No word yet on how much time Moore is going to miss. The versatile 32-year-old was off to an exceptional start at the plate, hitting .286/.346/.557 with six homers and five steals through 23 games. It’ll be Samad Taylor coming up to take his spot on Seattle’s active roster. There should be some clarity on Moore’s status in the coming days.
Dylan Moore is not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Marlins.
Moore has seen inconsistent playing time against right-handers in 2025, and Seattle will hope for the platoon advantage with Miles Mastrobuoni getting the start at second base in Moore’s absence. Moore has been effective this year — particularly against southpaws — and even with days off, his power/speed makes him intriguing for fantasy benches.
Dylan Moore went 2-for-5 with a solo home run against the Blue Jays on Sunday.
