2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: It was another season of Iglesias being a lock down closer for one of the best teams in the league. He posted 33 saves and five wins in 58 appearances with a 2.75 ERA (3.16 xERA, 3.06 SIERA), with 68 strikeouts. The only real source of concern for Iglesias was the home run rate of 1.13 HR/9 and his .236 BAA, which was the second-highest mark of his career.
2024 Outlook: Closers are typically fickle positions on a team, but Iglesias gives off no fickle vibes heading into 2024. He’s not really going to be challenged in the role and with the loaded offense, there should be plenty of chances to lock down wins in the form of saves. With fewer clear-cut closers entering the 2024 season, he’s bound to be a top option for saves in fantasy baseball.
