We doesn't love a side of football with their turkey? This year we have plenty to be thankful for and while every year is different, the tradition of getting to watch, and now bet, on the NFL during Thanksgiving is one that remains unchanged.

For this special edition of the QB Coach we are looking at just the QB's playing on the three game slate which features the Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions, New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins vs Green Bay Packers.

 

 

 

NFL DFS Thanksgiving Day QB Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

This Thanksgiving DFS slate is far from the star studded affair that maybe some had hoped for with Jared Goff, Jordan Love, Tua Tagovailoa, Caleb Williams, Cooper Rush and Drew Lock taking the field this Thanksgiving Day but that doesn't mean we can't build some winning DFS lineups given the matchups, especially with two games that have game totals set at 48 on this three game slate.

 

 

 

NFL DFS QB Top-Tier Picks For Thanksgiving Day

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $6,500 | $8,200

IF we are going to spend up on this slate at the QB position I would tend to lean on Jared Goff here against the Chicago Bears.

Yes, last week we saw Jaylon Johnson shut down Justin Jefferson but we also saw Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson absolutely cook. 

So while, yes, Amon-Ra St.Brown may be in some trouble this weekend, I'm still pretty confident in Goff being able to make plays to Jameson Williams and maybe even Sam LaPorta this weekend.
 

 


 

NFL DFS QB Thanksgiving Day Fades & Turkeys 

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $7,200

He threw the ball 47 times last week in a comeback effort against the Minnesota Vikings that fell just short. The matchup against the Lions is far from an easy one with the Bears sitting as near 10-point road underdogs to their divisional opponent but the one way to beat the Lions is through the air and if the Bears offensive line can hold up long enough we know that Chicago does have some talented playmakers at wide receiver in DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and Cole Kmet. If we think the Bears will be down and trailing in this game then you can bet on a high volume of pass attempts coming again this week.

 

 

 

NFL Thanksgiving Day Value QB Play Of The Day

Cooper Rush, QB Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $4,800 | FanDuel: $6,900

Listen, we all know the Cowboys offense is a bit of a shell from what we thought it would be going into the season but over the last two weeks we've seen Cooper Rush put up 17.98 FP and 20.36 FP against the Commanders in a winning effort and the Texans in a blow out loss.

The Cowboys are actually home favorites this week against the Giants and there is still nice upside with CeeDee Lamb, Jalen Tolbert and maybe a returning Brandin Cooks available to catch the football.

Drew Lock, QB New York Giants - DraftKings: $4,500 | FanDuel: $6,400

For the third straight week we will have a new starting QB for the New York Giants following the departure of Daniel Jones and the injury to last weeks' starter Tommy DeVito. 

Many expected Lock was going to be named the new starting QB following the release of Jones but instead the team opted for DeVito for a reason which many expect to be contract bonus related.

Nonetheless, Lock is the starter this week and there is some potential upside here. We know he has a strong arm, and some mobility as well.

The Cowboys pass rush is much improved as they've gotten healthier but their secondary is still pretty much in shambles and after Malik Nabers all but said “throw me the damn ball” in his post game press conference, I can see a heavy dose of targets going his way this weekend which could lead to some big plays for Lock in turn.
