Suns vs Magic Prediction: Suns -4 (+180 on Draftkings Sportsbook) *BET OF THE NIGHT

There is only one route to greatness my friends, and the path goes by the name of BOLD. And while on the Bold path, there is no better companion than knowledge. The Phoenix Suns play at the Kia Center against the Orlando Magic, and will be without their leader, Kevin Durant.

The spread is currently +2.5 for the Phoenix Suns, and 53% of the money is on the Magic to cover their -2.5 spread. So why would we tease this bet 6.5 points the other direction? It’s simple mathematics.

The Suns will be without Durant today, but they have played nine games without him this season, or almost half of the season. Meanwhile the Orlando Magic will be without both of their best offensive players for the first time this year.

Most know that Paolo Banchero has been out with an oblique injury, but Franz Wagner went down with the exact same injury. It is such a bizarre, and infrequent problem, and it happened to both of the Magic’s best offensive players. The Magic might be an outstanding defensive team, but how are they going to match 113 points per game when they were averaging 107.3 with their best players?

The Suns still have Tyus Jones, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Royce O’Neale and Grayson Allen. All of whom are either great at finding an open man or are themselves great scorers. The -4 is recommended to allow for a push, and because the odds at 4.5 were only minimally better, there is no reason to risk it. Be bold and place a unit on this teased up line.

 

 


 

Timberwolves vs Warriors Prediction: MIN Moneyline  (-105 on BetMGM) 

This was a successful wager in their most recent game against each other two days ago. The Minnesota Timberwolves absolutely destroyed the Warriors 107-90, and it was over at halftime. The rest and recovery should help the Warriors, but the Timberwolves are the better team.

Minnesota has won four games in a row, and six of their last ten. The Warriors have cooled down since their hot start, and have lost seven of their last ten games. There are even rumors that the Warriors are looking to add talent, and search for answers. Draymond Green is now coming off the bench as the Warriors desperately need more offensive players.

The Timberwolves are coming together, and their trade is looking better. Julius Randle is taking some of the scoring burden off of Anthony Edwards, and learning to get in better rhythm with Rudy Gobert. 

Meanwhile Donte DiVincenzo is settling into his sixth man role, and is giving Mike Conley valuable rest. The Timberwolves have the more complete roster, and the spread is probably safe, but the moneyline at near odds is the pick today.
